You remember that long comment i posted on your profile bout one piece before you even started the show. You had so many doubts bout the show being great and tried to decide rather or not its worth investing into, funny how your perception of things totally change huh?
Not only did you rate it a 10, but it also appeared on your top 5 list. impressive.
Now you need to watch naruto and shippuuden next on your list.
One piece is a phenominal series. I think shonen fans and none shonens can really appreciate the show. It maintains consisency throughout the series. What makes one piece unique and different then other shonens its huge cast of diverse characters all with there own goals, motives and dreams.
One of the things that is really strong bout the show is the characterization. Sure its a shonen so it has lots of action, but charcters are devoloped through out the entirely of the show and even smaller lesser characters you see in the beggining of the series, play much larger roles later on. The thing that i really love bout OP is the fact that oda does not forget about his characters like bleach is. In bleach the villians are talked bout a few times, they have hardly no development and are just sliced down one after another by ichigo's sword. One peice is alot different in that respect. There really is no "true" villians. Every character has there own goals, motives and dreams to fufull in there own ways. It makes for a very interesting diverse set of characters.
Anyways the series starts off a lil slow, but once you get around to the 20+ range, from there on, its like a wild ride. I really have never met an OP fan that has actually dropped the show because of boredom or it being just to long. Usually anyone that drops this show never gives it a chance and will most likely drop it on the first few episodes.
Once its beyond the 20+ arc, there is no going back. It pretty much becomes an extremely addicting series you just can't seem to stop watching. Also the current saga that has been running for like the last 4 years is almost at an end and its the most historical land mark saga in the series. So if you were to start now. You will eventually end up at some what of closure. Or like the mid conclusion to the story of one piece. Providing you watch all the way up until like episode 500. By the time you catch up to that, it will probably far into the next saga as well.
Anyways naruto and one peice are two of my most favorite shonens, bleach i really really disliked. It went down hill in so many ways. But thats just my opinion, if you r a fan of action, you will probably like it. But oda develops characters so much better.
