So, about me; I'm a girl who started watching anime the summer of 2015. My first anime was Sailor Moon. I'm especially into Fantasy, Supernatural, Shoujo, Mahou Shoujo, Romance and Slice of Life anime.
I rate shows based on how much I personally enjoyed it. I rarely give things scores lower than 5, and my rating system looks something like this:
1-3 - utter trash! Don't watch this.
4 - did not like it, was probably boring, uninteresting, didn't make me feel invested in the story, too absurd or just plain bad.
5 - nothing special, watchable but wouldn't rewatch it.
6 - it was ok, liked the story but it didn't leave a big impact.
7 - this was pretty good, I enjoyed watching it.
8 - really good, something I'll probably rewatch.
9 - it was really great, but it feels like something was missing to make it a masterpiece...
10 - oh my gosh I can't describe how much I loved this anime! It really resonated with me (or was an important milestone in my anime watching or the industry)! It was beautiful and everything was just perfect.
Manga system looks almost the same.
I'll never rate something I've dropped or put on hold (i.e without having watched or read all of it), as every anime/manga deserves a fair chance.
