Shirou is prety stupid, but he's fairly badass at times. If anything, I hate Archer more (which really isn't too farfetch'd considering who he truly is). Rider makes F/Z even more awesome, the guy was definitely the best character in the show. LoliRin was also pretty cool. The VN is definitely better, but it takes a LONG time. I'm still on the 3rd day of the first route and I've had the VN for nearly 2 years now...

TM is a tearjerker so beware. I'm in the same boat as you for anime movies, there's just so many that I want to watch...Gotta check out some more Ghibli flicks soon (I've only seen Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away and Grave of the Fireflies).

Haha, that's true, I know what you mean. I do watch my fair share of average shows just for kicks at times while ignoring potential masterpieces on my PTW.

Hmmm, some of my other faves are:
Welcome to the NHK - the daily life of a hopelessly paranoid shut-in and a girl who's trying to cure his social awakwardness
Kanon (2006) - The Clannad before Clannad even existed. I personally like it better, but chances are, you'll enjoy this if you liked Clannad.
Fate/Zero - Way more awesome than F/SN. All the masters and servants took a serious level in badass.
Tokyo Magnitude 8.0: About a bratty little girl and her brother as they try to survive in the aftermath of an earthquake.
Twelve Kingdoms/Junni Kokuki - About a girl with low self esteem who gets sucked into an alternate world where she is destined to be the queen. She starts off as an annoying and helpless girl to a brace and strong-willed warrior, undergoing a lot of physical and mental change to properly fulfill her position as a ruler.

That should be enough eh? You've still got plenty to watch on your list though, so I doubt you'll get to these right away.

Awesome, must be nice getting some worthwhile presents :P I got socks, that's it. That's what happens when your an employed teenager with high discretionary income my friend, there's always a justification to not get presents from the 'rents.
