One of the best Anime's to have ever come out. Although I can agree that the power system is a little hard to wrap your head around it is by far one of the best stories told. It changes your expectations of what the show is about arc after arc and has the ability to be both serious and not when it wants to be.

What can be said about a classic like death note? It's a clasic for a reason. From the banger of an opening to the intellectual battles between Kira and L is something that is not seen in very many animes. I can truely say that the story telling of death note may be one of the best I have seen in my life time. From the duration of the show to the pacing of the story, I never really felt as though i was bored at any moment. In saying that there are some areas in the story I may not agree with but at the end of the day we are here to rate it as an overall. If you have not yet seen it then I can literally say that you aren't a true anime fan yet. In saying that there are many classics and many other styles you might be more interested in BUT I think everyone should have death note in their list nevertheless.
