Just letting you know that while there is a watakon novel, the anime is based on the LN.

First off, I absolutely love your username. 🤣 One of my favorite things, actually.

Second, I read 3 reviews of Dark Gathering, and I thought your was the only one that really got it right. One was far too critical, and the writer's only point seems to have been finding new ways to bash a series about its head and shoulders. It felt like they went into it looking for reasons to dis it. The other was just the opposite: It was the greatest series since... whatever the writer thinks is the greatest series of all time. It offered no criticism. Yet, while retaining your subjectivity, you wrote a review that is balanced and mostly unbiased, allowing readers to decide whether to give it a try and decide for themselves whether it's worth it. That's what a review should be. …said I, who very rarely write reviews.

When I'm reading reviews again in the future, I'll look to see if you've written one. I'll have no difficulty recalling your username. 😄

I don't know anything about the references, but I completely agree with your rewiew of "Iseleve". It really does feel like the anime is just "wish fulfillment" (probably for someone in their early-mid teens). Despite how very disappointed I am that it, despite what the description of the anime said, is not something similar to "Rougo ni Sonaete Isekai de 8-manmai no Kinka wo Tamemasu" (I really enjoyed that anime), I'm honestly laughing at just how incredibly ridiculous and unrealistic "Iseleve" is xD
