10 - I enjoyed the series tremendously and it was great and immersive enough to turn me into a huge fanboy. It doesn't have to be a masterpiece in the traditional sense; what really matters to me is the level of entertainment and enjoyment.
9 - All-around fantastic series, just not as good as the 10s.
8 - While the 9s and 10s are legends in my heart and I would recommend them to others passionately, the 8s are what I'd describe to someone simply as "really good" or "great".
7 - These are pretty good series, but nothing too special. They're like the "average" good anime.
6 - Not the best series out there, but there are a few little things/aspects that I liked.
5 - Not necessarily bad (or good), but unlike the 6s and 7s, I felt mostly neutral while watching these. They're essentially the midpoint between good and bad.
4 - These are bad series, but have a few good things about them that put them on the higher end of the "bad scale" (1-4).
3 - These aren't so bad that I'd consider them the bane of the animanga society, but I simply didn't like anything at all about them.
2 - These are some of the worst series I've ever seen, but unlike the 1s, they don't cause mental issues.
1 - Causes (head/mental) injury or tremendous cringe, like Mars of Destruction, which literally gave me a headache just by forcing myself to watch it, or Popee the Performer, which gave me nightmares (while I was watching it)!
Well, I've been fine. I'm a bit away from anime, but hopefully I'll be able to watch more this year. The last two years I haven't been able to watch as much as I would have liked. There are a lot of things I want to watch or re-watch.

Happy Birthday!
Fortunately everything went well. I'm taking up anime again little by little. I had it abandoned for several months.
