Since I'm not going to reveal my name, you can call me Mizu.

My first encounter with the anime happened when I was around 4 and watched Sailor Moon. It was my favourite cartoon that I could never forget about, though at that time I didn't even know what anime was. Then I got pulled into Pokemon craze, and finally fell in love with Rei from Beyblade :P

When I was 16 one day I decided to find and watch again Sailor Moon. It was the first time I watched anime in Japanese with English subtitles (time to learn English seriously!). On the same webpage I found other series and blindly chose another one. It was Fushigi Yuugi. Then I watched The Vision of Escaflowne. The anime obsession began.

Now I watch anime, read manga, obsess over my favourite seiyuu, can understand a bit of Japanese and dream about my favourite characters :)

I watch various series though I prefer those with deeper meaning. Characters who can't deal with their past or can't find their place in the world - that's my thing. I like anime which contain magic, feature samurai or bishounen. I don't mind action anime.

Random anime-related stuff about me:
-> I love shonen-ai and yaoi. What might seem weird for some people, I do not support the seme/uke division though. Love is about equality, not dominance!
-> I am a feminist and I hate ecchi. How are those two things related? You can see bare boobs and panty shots in general anime,but won't see a naked guy there. How fair is it?
-> Yes, I hate Elfen Lied. Got a problem with that?
-> No harem anime and no moe characters for me, please...
-> I love fantasy themes.
-> If a character has Tomokazu Seki's or Takehito Koyasu's voice, I will probably love him. That's how I ended up worshipping the main villain from Gintama and a few other anime...
-> I like it when the main character is anti-hero. I'm an evil person. The peaceful, loving-all and ever-so-forgiving characters annoy me...
-> Chichiri from Fushigi Yuugi and Ran Fujimiya from Weiss Kreuz are mine. FIN.
-> A character (be it a female or male) wearing pink will NOT gain my respect.
-> I DESPISE English dubbing. Both English and Japanese are foreign languages for me, however the latter sounds much better in my personal opinion. Maybe it's because Japanese is closer to my mother tongue in terms of pronunciation. What's more, the unique atmosphere of the anime is gone if I hear English.
-> Many people laugh at so called Engrish. Therefore I would like to inform the native English speakers: you sound equally silly trying to pronounce Japanese words :P
