If you enjoy a series I gave a bad score, please do not take it personally. My numeric scores are focused on strengths vs weaknesses. I consider the magnitude and prevalence of their strengths and compare it to that of its weaknesses.
For instance, I consider Attack on Titan to be around a 6 because while its great animation, atmosphere, and action are well above average, its poor pacing, characters, and general plot bring the whole thing down considerably.
In contrast, I consider C: The Money of Soul and Possibility Control to be around an 8 because while its animation leaves something to be desired, and its environments are a bit repetitive and simple, the series has very good writing, pacing, and characters. It manages to get its main theme of moral ambiguity across better than any other 12 episode series I have yet to watch. So I conclude that its success far outweigh its flaws.
