The ratings I've given to shows mostly represent how much I enjoyed watching them, how big of an impact the show had on me, and how much I like the show in general. They aren't trying to be objective.
Hey Miksu210, sorry I haven't responded I've been taking a break for a while. My inbox is at 1000, which means I can't respond via pm, but I hope a comment suffices. I do not believe phrases such as "I like" or "I didn't like" belong in a review. It is implied that a review is someone's opinion because there's no object opinion on art, that would simply be a research paper or an explanation akin to a Wikipedia summary. Reviews are a creative medium, so no, you would not speak to someone the same way you would write. Some people write in a conversational tone and I find those reviews typically quite boring because they lack supporting arguments, interesting prose, or a sense of flow that makes them easily readable. I think you had an issue with my negative reviews or certain ones for series you liked, I'm sorry if I offended you, they are meant as criticism of the series with creative flairs. I'm used to getting angry responses to my reviews which are to be expected given inherent vitriol on the internet. My reviews unfiltered heart, with slight censorship to suit MAL's rigid rules.
If I’m being realistic, I probably won’t read the manga lol. I mostly use the plan to read list as a basis for what new anime to add to my watch list each season.
Manga/LN/etc that are above 8.00/40,000 members/win awards/are on Kono Sugoi lists get added and before each new anime season I go through and add the anime adaptations from material I have previously marked.
It’s a generally successful way to find some of the good shows for the season.
God no! I'm claiming that people who get furious over an anime review are insecure. It's only a review, not that serious. I'm not saying everyone who disagrees is insecure. Of course not. Only those people who seethe with rage because of a review.
Lol, thank you. My tastes are constantly changing. I experience so much media and learn so much in school that my opinions go all over the place. I learn new things to appreciate or flaws I didn't originally notice.
