I love to come home from work and watch some anime or listen to some tunes with my wife. She loves anime and music as much as I do! I particularly enjoy some good electronic music and some of my favorite producers include Rameses B, Mitis, Coyote Kisses, deadmau5, Feed Me, and Daft Punk. Check out some samples:
I also love the outdoors and hiking. I've climbed several 13ers and 14ers and love getting outside whenever I can, which is usually on the weekends. Here is a video I shot on my crappy cell phone heading up to the top of Ute Pass:
And finally, an excellent AMV from one of my favorite anime, Ergo Proxy. Enjoy.
How does it feels to have a wife who also loves anime ? I'm university student and it's hard to even find a girl who watch anime LOL .
Do you have waifu ?
Hey, sorry for the late reply. I have trouble paying consistent attention to my comments section, heheh.
My favorites of the fall were probably Shinsekai Yori and Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. Though the animation inconsistencies in Shinsekai Yori are really obnoxious and hard to swallow, the story is really entrancing and the suspense is reaaaaaally well done.
Episodes 5 & 6 were my favourite episodes after the first two. November 11 is a really slick character and the voice acting for him is top notch (he really does sound like a member of the MI6!). Hei's interrogation was also interesting (what happened to his sister?).
The two most recent episodes I watched (7 & 8), however, were pretty slow and boring, imo. They did provide some insight into Mao's character, though, which was pretty cool.
One Piece certainly is teh sex. You've got a lot to look forward to at such an early stage.
Haibane's opening song isn't anything special, but the ending is nothing short of beautiful. It really captures the darker side of the anime and provides a great atmosphere. Awesome.
I'm on episode 11 now, and by the look of things, it's going to get a 9/10 (a 10/10 is possible depending on the conclusion). Reki is a great character.
I've never owned a Sony TV, but I never did see any of them receive much positive feedback. It's all about Samsung, Panasonic and Toshiba when it comes to TVs by the look of it.
I ended up changing the Samsung TV for a Toshiba one. It has a smaller depth, more HDMI ports and USB ports and it has an AVG port, but the picture quality isn't quite as good (I think Samsung will always win in this department). Now I can watch anime again :)
I see you're finally ahead of me in DtB. Looks like I need to pick up the pace :P
Yes, I really like the look of the DtB world too. A good world/setting can work wonders.
As for Haibane, I'm watching it in dubbed. It looks like an anime I'm going to enjoy, and considering its short length, I could always watch the sub sometime in the near future. The voice acting is great! I also really like the ending song:
I bought a 40'' LED Samsung TV from Tesco recently. The picture quality is fantastic, but it doesn't have a VGA port, so I'm unable to use the TV as a second monitor (this is how I watch my anime). However, I'm able to take it back and get an exchange, which is great. I haven't been watching much anime for this reason. I could watch it on my 22'' computer monitor, but it just isn't the same, lol.
Glad to hear your wife enjoyed it. I'm up to episode six, and it's a very enjoyable anime. What do you make of it so far?
The first episode took me by a bit of a surprise. Symbolism was being thrown all over the place (cocoon = embryo, not having any memories of herself = same state of mind when born, etc.), but it toned it down a bit in episode two. It's a really relaxing anime with some dark undertones and some excellent music. I like it :)
How did you and your wife find Hell Girl? I was going to watch it back during the days when Higurashi, Elfen Lied and School Days were the best things I'd ever seen because of the shared horror element, but never got round to it.
I'm up to ep 6 of DtB (sorry for skipping ahead), and I'm quite impressed with it. It appears to be episodic/arc driven, which I'm cool with.
If you're already liking OP as of ep 6, then I can already tell you're going to really enjoy it. I wasn't completely sold on it until the Alabasta arc, and it's now one of my favourite anime series.
Buggy's hilarious! He pretty much serves as comic relief for the biggest part of the series.
Yeah, One Piece's art & animation wasn't the best at the beginning of the series even when you factor in the time that it was aired. However, you'll be pleased to know that it does gradually improve. I'd say around the beginning of the Alabasta arc is when you really start to notice the difference.
One Piece probably has the most diverse cast of characters in any anime I've ever seen. You'll probably end up adding one or two of them to your favourites (Zoro and Usopp being my personal favs.). Excellent anime.
Yeah, I watch One Piece subbed as well. I feel the humour comes across better than in the FUNi dub (which I'd say is still pretty good anyway). Most people are sold on One Piece at some point during the Arlong Arc (around episode 30+), but until then it's kind of slow.
