Yea, I believe you that the series is much better overall but tbh I'm not a fan of stuff with too many episodes. I just want to watch the movies to see what it is like as the series seems quite popular and I really liked some other anime Osamu Dezaki worked on. Maybe if I really like the movies I will watch the series some other time. :P

Maybe I should try it raw too if I can't find any subtitles. I never watched and don't plan to watch the series (too many episodes...), so it won't bother me that the movies are recaps.
