My name is Midi. I'm likely here for the same reason many other people are here. I wanted to be able to keep track of the manga and anime that I've read, re-read, watched, and re-watched. I haven't seen/read nearly as much anime and manga as I'd like, which is something I plan to rectify. Thankfully this is just the place to help me do that.

I a social recluse and I spend a lot of my time reading manga, watching anime, reading books, writing books, listening to music, and watching documentaries. I think it's safe to say I have no real social life and, to be honest, I prefer it that way. However, that doesn't mean I'm unwilling to socialize, so if you want to speak to me I'm not opposed to it.
I'm half Japanese (my last name is Saka
i), though I don't look it, nor can I speak Japanese, and I consider myself to be part of the goth subculture. I listen to mostly gothic rock, darkwave, metal, and music I've heard from anime. I enjoy reading romance novels and non-fiction books related to subjects that interest me.
My interests range from astronomy, earth / environmental science, geology, cultural diversity, atheism and religion, evolution, sexuality, and psychology. I currently have a Bachelors of Science in Psychology.

Note: I know that many do not care much for yaoi, and can harshly judge those who do. If you are like that, I'm fine with it as we each have our own preferences. I'm certainly not one to force others to enjoy it. I personally like LGBT-centered stories more than your run-of-the-mill romance as I am bisexual myself and I love stories centering around social problems such as taboos on sexuality.
