An escapist, 'nuff said. I really like anime & manga that can offer me great stories in which I can drown, and characters with which I can symphatize. Sometimes I prefer to have great characters than original stories, so that's why I like to watch or to read slice of life kind of stuff, and sometimes I prefer to watch or to read mind fucking stories with lot of symbolism, bunch of drama, creepy stuff.
Ah, I can't really stand too much fanservice, most of all if it's about too short skirts in a sailor school girl uniform...but in the end, it depends on the show.
