yo. im amber. dutch, 26, and a fulltime information specialist. yes thats a job. also went to university and got a degree in archaeology.

in my free time i, obviously, enjoy watching anime! other things i enjoy are playing videogames, drawing, reading books (shoutout realm of the elderlings series), playing tabletop games and boardgames (especially pathfinder), fencing, and watching rugby! i also enjoy cosplay, costume wearing (and making) in general, and larp, but i dont spend as much time on that in comparison because of time lol.

anyway when it comes to anime and manga, ive been watching and reading on and off since i was around 13. so even though thats quite some years sometimes i just dont watch or read anything for months to a year because i didnt have the time to or didnt feel like it.

when i do watch anime... well, honestly, its just for my personal enjoyment and relaxation in the weekends or after work. im not here to impress anyone, or try to act like i have good taste or anything, just here for a fun time! so that also reflects the way i score- purely on basis of how much i personally liked it, not so much how good the art or the story or the music is or anything. though of course those things play a role, a good story makes it more likely that i enjoyed it! im just not actively paying attention to it, my tastes arent really that sophisticated anyway. besides, a lot of the anime and manga on my list i watched when i was way younger, so i cant even say for certain that all scores accurately represent how i feel nowadays!

i guess for me the difference between a 5 and a 6 is that a 6 means "it was alright, it was fine" and 5 is moreso "it was alright but im also bored". im sure you can imply the rest yourself.

im also on anime-planet because it let me make an unending list of characters i like, but also an unending list of characters i dislike which i thought would be very funny.

and thats all really! feel free to drop a message if you want to chat, i actually do enjoy talking with people (both about anime and any other hobbies), im just not big on arguing about which anime is better or anything lol.
