Right? I still read it but not with every chapter release anymore. The series has a lot of potential and many interesting authors left to explore (as a Brit I'm excited to see more of Agatha Christie and some of our other famous authors like the Bronte Sisters, Arthur Conan Doyle, Charles Dickens, Jane Austen, George Orwell, Tom Hardy, CS Lewis, Lewis Carrol, Virginia Woolf -- maybe even more contemporary ones like JK Rowling, Roald Dahl and Tolkein will make an appearance!) I didn't mean to make that list so long. Can you tell I got into this series primarily because I love literature?
I'll stick with BSD for now because I'm a glutton for torture apparently. As I said before, there is good content in there, it's. just buried beneath absurd and farfetched explanations and Dazai and Dostoevsky being practically the same character and both far too OP.

Control their heartbeat and use it to send complex messages? I'm all for the supernatural and detective themes since that's what the series is based in but that's far too absurd for Dazai to do when it's nothing to do with his ability. Haha, I claim to enjoy BSD but I really do have a lot of gripes. You need to wade through the absurd for the good content beneath.

So true! And yeah, I was disappointed by how Bram Stoker was handled, too. Of course, they went for the vampire theme for him but the way he was used in the plot was a big let down imo. The biggest gripe I have is when Dazai and Dostoevsky were in the prison, both sending messages to the outside whilst also being 100 steps in front of each other. Dazai has always been OP but that took the cake for me lol
