Grade things carelessly? Hang on! I've
1. Watched a LOT of gundam (old and new)
2. Written Reviews on more than half the ones I've watched
3. Done my analysis
4. Given you reasons why some rated higher or lower than others

So I've already done my homework and stated my reasons for why I considered Zeta second worse in comparison with all the rest of the series. Maybe when I have time to watch more gundam there could be ones out there even worse than Zeta or ZZ.

On the other hand, you
1. Refuse to grade anything (thus avoiding the subject)
2. Refuse to say why anything is better or worse than Zeta (again avoiding the subject)
3. In fact, your only claim to why I am biased is because you think I'm the only one who thinks Zeta is bad, but yet you refuse or can't tell me why you think Zeta is good? What is so special about Zeta?

Some MAL stats - 38 people rated Zeta 4 or below and 70 people dropped the series. So I guess I am not alone in thinking Zeta wasn't that good since over 100 others either gave up watching it, or finished it and thought it was bad.

I don't mind having an intelligent dialogue but it's a little difficult to debate logic with someone who won't say WHY their position is what it is. That's the worst kind of double standard. You refuse to take a stand, you refuse to give any reasons but yet you want to sit in your glass house and accuse others who have opinions and reasons of bias?? If you are the kind of person who just can't give any ratings to anything because of perceived bias, then you shouldn't judge other people for having different ratings that what you think the ratings should be. i.e. if you yourself can't judge ratings and put them out for the world to see, then seriously you have no business judging others ratings.

Ironically, for someone who claims to not want to rate shows, you seem to have pretty much already judged what a Gundam Fan should or should not like by your own standard and anyone deviating from that pre-set mold in your mind is ... in your own words "non-sequitur by Gundam fan standards".

I'm with you on that one. Anime's that have a distinctly unique feel are always a plus. That's why FLCL is still one of my favorites to this day. There is this little known show that was very interesting called Mouryou no Hako that the fs community kinda just passed over. I'm still waiting for it be finished, I was really enjoying that series.

It has been quite a long time since I've seen Wing so I guess you could be right about 00. However, it seems like the timeline was completely different and the characters and plot were a lot different too. But I see that there were similarities. As for the issue of things being remade. I've said it a million times and I'll probably say it million times more. Nothing is Original in terms of story's plots. Everything can be compared to some other work that has already been written or painted. It is in the interpretation and execution that our creations become our own. Apply this to Gundam and one can clearly see that Seed and 00 are a new interpretation of 0079 and Wing. So if those interpretations are well done and add unique dialogue plus story elements like art and music, then the new creation could even surpass the original IMO.
