Hi there! My name is Seth. I tend to talk too much and think too little. My scores are objective rather than subjective. I tag my thoughts. If you really want to get to know me feel free to drop a comment or send a message.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Anime I'd recommend watching dubbed instead of subbed:
Baccano!
FLCL
Spice and Wolf
Spirited Away
Princess Mononoke
Samurai Champloo
How I rate anime:
10. As good as it gets. Nothing is perfect, so if I only handed out 10s to perfect anime I'd never ever give anything a 10. So a 10 will be the best, the best of all genres of anime. Something that will stand the test of time because it is that good.
9. Amazing. Just being a personal favorite of mine will not score it a 9. It has to be great in more ways than one.
8. Either a personal favorite of mine or a leader of excellence in its specified genre An 8 is no light feat, and is something I'd recommend to anyone.
7.GOOD I feel this is the most misunderstood rating on MAL. A 7 is well above average. It isn't a personal favorite, and it may have flaws but it was still a good watch.
6. Fine It was decent, it had flaws and entertainment dropped at points but it had something that worked well enough to keep you watching it.
5. Average This is the score I give generic otaku magnets.
4 Meh When you finish an anime and your only feelings towards it are Meh, you know to give it a 4.
3.Bad I finish 3s sometimes and wonder what I just did with my life.
2.Awful When the show is so bad that you cringe a little at the characters, plot, ect.
1.You wonder how the show even got the money to air. If this happens, it is a 1. No doubt about it.
Notes:
My ratings do not necessarily reflect my enjoyment of an anime.
I'd recommend anything on my list rated at an 8,9, or 10.
I also think it is harder for an anime to get a 1 than a 10.
P.S - If you happen to come across one of my reviews, please do drop a helpful rating and feel free to give me some advice as I am always striving to improve my writing.
Oh wow, dude, you still alive and kicking? Last I'd heard from you must've been years ago.
I removed Juuni Taisen from my PTW when I saw the reviews, seems like the cool premise was thrown in the garbage can. :/ Houseki no Kuni remains there, then.
Catching up with One Piece nowadays is a true feat. If I hadn't started 11 years ago, I'd no way in hell ever catch up with, lol.
I remember you'd barely read any manga back then. Good job.
Come on, what's wrong with Kaiji? IT'S SO INTENSE I COULD FEEL THE SHEER EPICNESS OOZING OUT OF THE SCREEN.
Gin no Saji a 10? Wtf, no. I gave the first season a 6 and the second a 7.
Maybe you've mistaken it for Ghost in the Shell, which comes right before it?
I guess that means we've pretty much remained the same douchebags through and through. LOL
Gotta lower that mean score to 4 ASAP!
I haven't read the manga, but I've sort of been enjoying the 2nd season.
That said, I did enjoy the 1st season more than the 2nd season.
2nd season doesn't even feel canon ianymore if I'm being honest.
That's not easy to do D: I'm the king of lazyness.
A novel, huh? What's it about?
Yes, of course I will go on, don't worry. I wouldn't drop off at this stage.
Nah, not really, unless you have literally nothing else to do. It's a pretty mediocre manga.
" it is good for a comedy ecchi deal thingy", yeah... it's like you're telling me NOT to watch it. :P Maybe it's alright, but I really don't feel like watching that.
But what good ideas are those? All I saw were generic shounen powers, generic shounen premise of a teenager acquiring powers, generic shounen theme of "I've gotta keep my humanity", generic villains, generic powered-monsters(zombies) setting... Unless there are some twists along the way to turn it into something original, I say it's a 5/10.
Ohhhh, I see, I see. But is the story anything beyond a typical survival?
Then thet's a silly question, I recommended you my top 6, there's no reason to ask what they are. My top 5 is on the left of my profile, under "favorite manga", and my top 6-10 are under "extended favorites".
Be warned, every other stories you see afterwards will lose their charm after you've witnessed that pinnacle of storytelling. :P
I think you should read the manga, then. And you should try One Piece too.
I'm worried about that one, really worried. They'll adapt UBW and skip the first route (since Deen's adaptation doesn't exist), even though this one is required to appreciate that one. And HF will be just a 2-hour movie, as if it was possible to fit 20 hours of content into that.

How have you been man?
I've heard nothing but good stuff about it so I wanted to give it a try maybe i'll do that shortly. It isn't too long of a watch either.
What did you think of it?
BIrth- I mean Birthday
You're just not gonna hear it from me personoally. :o
Does this you're back into mal?
Either Ed or Bradley :)
That's fair enough. I don't watch that much episodic anime either. Some I can really like some are pretty meh.
how are you doing?
