Probably because it's always the same thing? 2 MCs no matter what happens, no matter the predicaments, they will still end up together. Haha. Or same type of characters just different faces and names.

Jeez. I'm not a big fan of romance genre, too, but there's something about homo romance that I really love. So, I guess hetero romance really grinds my gears the most.
