~ HP Ice has to be THE most used hidden power in my opinion, because Ice moves have a wide range of effectiveness and are mostly exclusive to ice types (excluding certain water types), plus it's always fun to kill dem offensive/defensive behemoths with an unsuspecting HP Ice.

~ Um, what's a Goodrich? It has been over 6 months since I touched Pokemon.

~ Don't worry man. I have trouble setting up SD too, unless it's my Bisharp or something equally good.

~ I don't know if it's just me, but I can't play M-Venusaur. Maybe it's because of my preference of M-Sableye as a wall.

~ Dammit I really need to catch up to Alola now that my prospects of Sun and Moon are looking weak.......

~ Interesting typing, but a humanoid knight makes me feel like some weird combo of a Golurk and Aegislash (Excalibur). It gives a more Ghost/Steel feel you know? Plus that ability reminds me a bit of "Stance Change".

~ Choice Scarf Lando is too much of a gamble for me, because many guys have sneak HP Ice with them.

~ AV is probably the one item I always forget that it exists. Probably cause I really have no clue how to use it. I used to run AV Goodra and laugh at the insane sp.def it had.

~ Yup, This set is the most common Garchomp set that runs now (atleast it did)

but the problem is that, a 252+ Def Lando will definitely defeat it one on one. It will even shut down an SD Garchomp. So I find no reason to use a Garchomp over my Lando anyday.

All I was saying is that you're better off running a Scarf Garchomp over Lando cause you don't want to have any speed ties and get hit by an HP Ice that will atleast be a 2HKO

~ Haha I use to run a M-Sharpedo with Protect, Crunch, Waterfall, Ice Fang/Aqua Jet so I guess I haven't seen one lol. But DB is a great idea which I will use one day (also goes well with Speed Boost)

~ Gengar as a disruptor sounds amazing. I wonder why I never thought of that before. Gengar has enough speed to pretty much pull off anything he wants, but his massive movepool always made me want to take advantasge of it.

Scarf Lando does outspeed Gengar but I always use Rocky Helmet Lando, so I forgot about that. Scarf Lando seems like a good choice but Scarfed Garchomp is much better so why bother.


~ The problem with DB is, if you know who has it, you can trick that into gaining stat boosts, recovery, traps and what not. I had too many of those problems and stopped using it. Although it will almost always force a switch, which is immensely useful.

Mega Sharpedo DB set? I didn't know that this was a thing. I always used the standard Protect + Speed Boost, and it did put in some work. Haven't used Mega Houndoom yet. How is it?

See, the problem is Mega Banette's attack is powerful. But it's speed is garbage (85 speed what the fvck). That's why it might pull off Status moves pretty good, but it's shit in landing attacks. Not to mention that it's defence stats are mediocre at best.That's why you don't nerf Sucker Punch which is extremely important for this guy to make a living. It's a shame that they ruined such a great potential.

Buffs are alright. Not too great but not too pathetic either:-

~ Flygon ma boi, finally you will fly. The Mega is needed. Your subjects await.

~ Atleast Pelliper is better than Politoed. That guy is garbage. Likewise, Torkoal is better than Ninetales cause atleast he can burn and take a few hits ffs.

~ Gigalith was a great pokemon that is underused because of his speed. I think Sand Stream increases Sp.Def too which will help him a lot.

~ Ice Monotype isn't going to improve from this anyway so it's kinda useless. They need to add more dual Ice types (like in SM) so that Hail also becomes a factor to consider.

~ I admit that I never used Mantine before (haven't seen one either). Is it good?

~ Leech Life is astonishing. Giga Drain is probably crying somewhere, alone in the woods. Why exactly was this buffed? Most strong Bugs don't use Leech Life, and the best user would probably be Crobat but it's not STAB. I wonder if the Zubats still have Leech Life at level 8 cause that would be fvcking ridiculous.

~ Here's a question. Do you play Monotype?? It's extremely fun once you get the hang of it.

Nerfs

- Gengar lost Levitate? That's not too bad. Gengar is extremely versatile as we know him and this won't affect him much, except maybe ground types can deal him a solid amount of damage now? No ground type is ever going to outspeed Gengar anyway, except for an invested Garchomp or Sand Rush Excadrill and they certainly don't want to take more than 2 Shadow Balls. But Cursed Body is just pathetic. Gengar can't take physical hits at all.

- RIP Talon With Gale Wings destroyed, Talonflames have been eradicated from OU. 126 speed won't cut it with it's mediocre stats. The chances of a Talonflame having 100% health except at the first turn are horribly less. It's time for ma bois Staraptor and Hawlucha to shine!!

- Dark Void Accuracy down to 50% This is just sad. Dark Void was the only sleep move that was efficient to use, now it's worse than fucking SleepPowder so what's the damn point? Darkrai won't leave Ubers but his viability has crashed a lot, especially in doubles where it will be replaced by Amoonguss who is already doing a great job.

- Thunder Wave miss is going to suck big-time

- Sucker Punch base power drop I knew this was coming but damn it hurts a lot. I believe this has to do with the massive damage of Sword Dance-Sucker Punch combo that many like to run (My Bisharp is crying in the corner) but I'll just SD one time extra. I'm not confident how my Bisharp can survive tho (What do you run SPunch with?)

- Prankster immunity WTF why u have to do this to my sableye!? This is pure garbage. Sableye is literally getting the short end of the stick everywhere now and it does not help that a goddamn Bisharp can just punch him to death. Prankster Sab is not the problem, it's Prankster Whimsicott who's a pain in the ass. NERF THE COTTON BALL!!!

- Confusion nerf benefits everyone

- Burn damage drop I don't mind this because I used burns mainly to drop attack so yeah. But my Mega Altaria is going to love this.

- Mega Turn Order When Megas were introduced, I wondered why this wasn't done already. A Mega with the ability of the base form looked stupid, even if it's just for a turn. I don't mind this much either as I have different uses for Sab and MSab, Pranks and Stopping hazards/Sponge.

-Paralysis nerf This sucks. Epically. Paralysis just had a bad, bad day.

-Destiny Bond nerf - Lol you run DB? I always find this move hilarious, however it needs some real good plays to work so I try not to. What were the most common DBs? Let's see.......Frosslass, MGengar, MBanette? (Why the fuck would you ever run a mega banette)........Wait does this mean that they indirectly nerfed Wobuffet? That's hilarious.

~ Yeah. Sableye's shiny looks garbage, but his mega looks classy.

~ORAS had some of the best themes and developed characters like Wally, Zinnia, Steven etc. This reinforces my hope that Cyrus will be awesome in the remake, and plz Dawn too.

~I have played Mega Heracross a few times, but it usually goes uneventful for me (Killer Talonflames all round). I usually prefer Mega Alakazam, Mega Altaria, Mega Manny, Mega Lop (man this bunny is so versatile) and Mega Beedrilll. I somehow fail horribly while using a popular pokemon so I try not to. Mega Gengar and Kang are the worst opponents (were? I heard they got nerfed)

~I love UU and OU, never tried RU. Wait, RU lost 9 mons?? Which ones? My Pokefeed is off so I don't have any clue what's going on anymore.

~You haven't played any Mystery Dungeon Games?

Yay for Pokémon nerds! Yeah I somehow got into it through a gameboy emulator, I played FireRed and Emerald first. I loved it so much that I got myself a 3DS with HeartGold and Y and became totally obsessed haha. I've played White, Platinum, Omega Ruby and Sun as well in those 4 years. I still don't understand much about competitive battling but I do a lot of competitive or shiny breeding for fun.
