I use my list to keep track on what I have and haven't watched and to find new shows to watch based on what I've seen.
My scoring system is based on my own personal enjoyment of the show.
I enjoy Comedy (The most important factor), Romance, Slice of Life, Slow Paced genres while detesting violent, depressing, gore filled and other such psychological thriller type genres.
I do read manga, a lot of manga to be frank, but I'll rarely update my MaL list for the manga I read, why? I'm honestly just too lazy to put that effort into it.
