So, as usual, people value production value over substance?
Friggin' sad, man.
I'm adamant that the best stories will still be good, with bad art or even no art, whereas bad stories will never be good, no matter how good their art or production value is.
It has a cool concept, don't get me wrong and the fact it at least tries to be accurate with its science is cool.... but oh my god, the storytelling, the characters, and especially the comedy are the fucking WORST things I have ever seen in an anime. Ever.
I've even heard fans say they don't like anyone but Senku, but he's honestly the worst one. A textbook Mary Sue; he's 15 and knows EVEryTHING and heS Got ATtIDue, OMG!!
And again, they do nothing with their concept at all; it feels like it was made up just to be cool and they'd figure out the rest later. They can't even keep the logic behind it consistent.
That completely murders any and all potential in my mind.
I agree with your comments about some series not deserving their popularity. Dr. Stone is my #1 pick in this regard.
