General fantasy and science fiction nerd who has decided to explore anime a bit more deeply after giving it a more serious look and becoming somewhat disenchanted with my favorite western series over the last few years.
Favorite series are Hokuto no Ken, Legend of Galactic Heroes and Gintama. I typically watch slice of life comedy shows as guilty pleasures and I enjoy looking for science fiction and fantasy genre programs as well.
I'm probably still a kid at heart as I can't seem to get away from cheesy shounen shows. Tengan Toppa Gurren Lagann pushes just about all of my buttons even though it's not perfect.
Always looking for new shows to enjoy in those genres, feel free to leave a recommendation.
Semi-retired and currently residing in Japan for various reasons not related to nerdery. It's alright. It isn't anime though. Not sure if that's disappointing or a relief to be honest.
