The second series to a mostly ignored first season of a show which was once an OVA. Yes, this franchise has been around for a few years, but also neglected massively, and I can see why.
I have not watched the OVA, so I can only base this review on the first season's experience as well as this series.
Story - 6/10
Not anything great story wise, just a love story of 4 12 year olds falling in love for the first time, with the bad guidance of the females' friend Marin and to the hatred of Kokoa, who is in love with Takao, and would do anything
...
for him as a rich smart ass. Not winning any awards story wise, but it's good enough.
Art - 7/10
Once again, nothing mind blowing, but in some places, such as in close ups, this show's animation is actually pretty decent for an extremely low budget production, and much better than I remember S1's art to be.
Sound - 5/10
Obviously the budget cuts have to be somewhere, and sound is what was chosen. The intro song is as annoyingly catchy as S1's and serves the purpose very very well, however in any sort of climax in the show, the same 30 odd second song is played. At first, the song is good. It has a nice harmony of voices which co incides with the scene well, but this is played every god damn episode. This isn't the only repeated song either, there's a selection of a few songs that are just played multiple times per episode EVERY episode and it's just annoying.
FUN FACT: the singer for the OP of 12-sai S2 (Machico) is also the singer for KonoSuba S1 and 2's OPs.
The VAs aren't amazing, but they're believable enough, and offer a distinct character and sound association to each character, so I guess they serve their purpose.
Character - 7/10
This is the main focus of the show - the characters. The main 4 characters (Ayase and Takao, Yui and Kazuma) have very standout personalities, and the show's writers do a good job of making sure that the viewer understands each character and how they feel towards their respective partners.
However, then there's the main side characters: Kokoa, Inaba, Marin and Ayumu. I'll go through these in order, you'll see why.
Kokoa is annoying ass bitch whose only goal in life is to destroy Ayase's relationship with Takao. Good idea, right? Spruce up the show? I would agree, if the bitch level weren't detestable level. There's a fine line between writing a bitch character and a character who you literally want to strangle. Think I'm exaggerating? I'm really not. At times, in both S1 and 2 of this show, she makes the show almost unwatchable.
Inaba is sort of the half intrusive and half non intrusive popular guy at Yui's prep school. He has a crush on Yui, even though he's popular. Even though he's a cock, he's still likeable. THis is a direct contrast to Kokoa, as this guy has a purpose in the show.
Marin is, to me, the friendly version of Kokoa. She's friends with Yui and Ayase, but she's just so god damn annoying. She bases all of her advice on her slut of a sister, and like Kokoa, she can make the show near unwatchable at times.
And Ayumu is a nice bloke, that's it really.
And then there's the other boys in the class who I forget the names of who are actually genuinely hilarious at times with their obsession with quoting the partners' best quotes. These guys are a fantastic addition to the show.
Enjoyment - 7.5 (8)/10
Amongst all of the ups and downs, this show is really enjoyable to me. I enjoyed both S1 and S2, even with all of their huge flaws. Would I recommend it? No. There's loads of better shows. But I still really enjoy this show, and for a low budget, throwaway show, it's pretty good.
Overall 7/10.

Shinkai never fails to amaze me. His works are truly masterpiece-worthy, and Dareka no Manazashi is just another one of his fantastic works. In fact, this is such a good short movie that I had no idea that this was a commercial until reading the MAL page.
Story 9/10
Generous? Maybe, but I felt that an 8 was a tad unjust. This just tells the story of a daughter who disconnected with her family after growing up, but was shocked to hear the death of the beloved family cat, who's been in the family since the daughter was little. A very touching story with a very nice,
...
happy, and thought provoking ending. It's amazing how slow paced, well thought out and developed this story is for a simple 7 minute short. An interesting point to make about the story is that it appears to be set in the future, and the childhood flashbacks seem to be set in the present. The message of this entire short is to take life by the balls and squeeze it while you can (I somehow managed to lower the tone massively instantly....)
Art 10/10
I'm a huge sucker for any art that is Ghibli or Shinkai. They're just beautiful when the resolution is cranked up. This short by Shinkai is just as beautiful as his other works, and many scenes in this short mirror scenes from 5 Centimeters Per Second, which I'm a fucking huge sucker for. One scene in particular shows a really, really detailed street with a train going across a bridge, which was just so 5 Centimeters Per Second-esque that I just loved it so much. This is a beautiful looking short.
Sound 9/10
Fantastic voice acting, both touching and well casted. I didn't care much for the music, however.
Enjoyment 9/10
No doubts about it, I hugely enjoyed this short. The story was touching, the art was beautiful, the whole future theme was extremely well thought out and quite nicely done.
Overall 9/10
It's 7 minutes long. What's that, the time a ready made meal heats up in the microwave? Just watch it. I loved this short, but even if you don't, it's 7 fucking minutes...

Super Lovers is a great show, telling the story of two half brothers.
The synopsis given by MAL gives a pretty good indication of the base plot without giving away any spoilers, so out of fear of spoilers, I'll just advise you to look at that.
Story - 7/10
This story is not masterfully written or crafted like a fine piece of Victorian literature, it's just an interesting story that makes you want to watch on and see what happens. It's basically a story of bromance between two brothers that turns into... proper romance. However, the characters that interact with the two main characters (especially the brothers) make
...
this an extremely interesting and captivating story. This is probably one of the shows that I was most excited to watch weekly in the Spring 2016 season. I would've given this a 7.5, however the ending was just... lazy and was an obvious pointer for "omg lol season 2 XDXDXDDXD", which isn't always bad, but if the change in the story that makes a season 2 viable is announced in literally 5 seconds, I have to deduct marks for pure fucking laziness. Especially since the last few episodes seemed like they were going somewhere.
Art 7/10
Very nice character designs and a vibrant art style that's hardly unique, however really aesthetically pleasing and actually pretty enjoyable. That's all I have to say.
Sound
No need for a mark here. The opening and closing songs are good enough, and the voice acting is pretty good. I don't feel the need to elaborate any further or associate this category with a numerical value.
Characters 8/10
This is where this show shines. I love the characters in this show. All of them. They have their own unique personality and thing that they bring to the show. It's surprising how much development and personal attachment you feel to the characters in just 10 episodes. Very well done in this category.
Enjoyment 9/10
This show is really fucking enjoyable. Like, really. You can't get through an episode without smiling like a fucking botched plastic surgery patient. That's all I have to say.
Overall 8/10
Very good anime with some extremely strong points. The ending, however, was lazy and just didn't make any sense with little justification to the decision that was made.
Would I recommend it? Sure, why not.

Byousoku 5 Centimeter is the best film I've ever watched.
First off, the story. The synopsis will cover you without spoilers, so all I want to say is that the story is touching, interesting, heartwarming, beautiful and with a bittersweet ending.
Animation is next. I watched this film in an incredibly high quality, and it was clear that the animation in this film had a high budget. The environment throughout was beautiful and amazingly drawn.
Finally is directing. This is directed by Shinkai, so you know top quality, amazing directing is going to occur. And that's not wrong. This film's directing is spot on throughout.
This film contains the
...
song "One More Time, One More Chance" written and performed by Masayoshi Yamazaki originally in 1997, written about his feeling for his girlfriend, who passed away in 1995. This song is incredibly beautiful written with so much emotion put into each version I've heard (1 studio and 2 live), and it fits perfectly with this film, with each line fitting the character's emotions perfectly, and the whole ending sequence is beautiful and REALLY powerful, especially with One More Time, One More Chance's lyrics of reminiscence.

**SPOILER FREE**
The thing is with Attack on Titan, I feel that it tries a bit too hard. Its base story of the titans is a cool idea, and the whole isolated town protected by walls thing is pretty cool too. But what I don't understand is why the town is basically built to be invaded. The design of it is crap. The characters I also feel aren't overly captivating. At first they were interesting, but after a while nothing really developed and I got so bored that I decided to just drop this series. Nothing really developed and nothing really came out of me watching
...
it apart from pure boredom.

I feel that I should give my two cents about this anime, as many seem to be massively bashing it.
This show will not break any walls that haven't been already broken. It's a harem rom-com with nothing massively revolutionary about it. HOWEVER, the way in which this show does this genre is probably the best of its kind.
You've probably already read the synopsis about this anime, so I don't need to go into great depths. It follows a guy who rejected all forms of love due to love leading to his parents leaving him, living alone. One day he sits next to the most popular
...
girl in the school, who gets asked out nearly every day. One day she approaches him and asks him out. On the way home, she explains that she has the same thoughts about love as him and they become fake partners. However, his childhood friend also has a crush on him, and she tries to cover it by claiming that she just wants to be "popular". So the fake girlfriend sets up a club for women who want to remake themselves and become popular. BUT WAIT, more people become involved in the harem, until it's an awkward 4 way harem, with each member being involved in the club.
I tried to make it as non spoilery as possible, hence the crappy description, however each character involved and not involved in the harem are done extremely well, and you feel like you know exactly why each of them are in love with the main character.
Without giving any spoilers, the last episode is done brilliantly well, with a very bitter-sweet ending.
I'd easily recommend this to someone who likes the genre.

I feel like the only one who genuinely enjoyed this OVA.
==SPOILERS==
Basically, to conclude it quickly
1) Kyousuke confesses his love in Akihabara to Kirino. Kirino accepts, and they go back to a hotel and play eroge on Christmas Eve.
2) Maname tells them that it's wrong for them to be dating
3) They get "married" (not actually, but with the church and dress and stuff)
4) It comes out that Kirino whispered into Kyousuke's ear that they'd only be lovers until his graduation
...
5) It cuts to Kirino meeting up with a new member of the circle
Those are the main points. There's also the moment where Kyousuke finally opens the box that he wasn't allowed to open in S1, and it explains that Kirino has been a closet lover of him for many years. If you're confused by this segment, this image sums it up perfectly

I loved this end. I agree that it could have been done much better, with maybe them staying together or something, but I still loved the ending. I disliked it at first due to it being horribly rushed, but after some thought it was a good ending and it could have been MUCH worse.
if you've watched S2 of OreImo, this is a must watch.

So, reading the synopsis you probably know what Non Non Biyori is about. It's about some girls leading an everyday life in a remote countryside village. Sounds boring, right? However, the blend of humour and amazing character building makes this probably one of my favourite anime series.
The main story of Non Non Biyori is about a girl called Hotaru Ichijo moving to a remote village in the middle of the Japanese countryside due to her father's job. Here she attends the school, which is an all-in-one of a primary school, middle school and high school. Here she meets some of the other main characters such
...
as Renge Miyauchi (my personal favourite), Natsumi Koshigaya, Komari Koshigaya, Suguru Koshigaya and the teacher Kazuho Miyauchi. From episode one, the series focuses on the friendship development between all of the characters, especially the newcomer Hotaru Ichijo.
So what makes this anime so special? Simply put, it's hilarious and the characters are perfectly made to make you feel an attachment to them. That's it.
I'd even go as far as saying that this anime perfects the Slice of Life genre, maybe even beating out Nichijou.
The second series is a repeat of the first series, however from different perspectives and is basically the same as the first, however there is very little feeling of déjà vu.
