It's kind of hard to give a vague recommendation, but since you seem to enjoy One Piece and also liked Fena: Pirate Princess you should give Takarajima a try. If you have no issue watching such an old anime, Takarajima is a very good pirate adventure. It was directed by Osamu Dezaki, so even though the series aged a bit visually his direction helped create a lot of memorable and emotional scenes.
I love that movie too. Most Satoshi Kon's movies are great, although he's most known for his mindfuck movies. I don't know if you've watched Tokyo Godfathers yet, but it's also a beautiful and lovely movie directed by him. I'm sure you'll like it.
I've had Kodomo no Omocha on my watchlist for so long. I really want to check that one sometime but since it's kinda long I need to find a good time for it. And thanks for the movie recommendation. I'm not really much into cinema right now but thanks anyway,
Regarding Fate/Zero. I'm pretty much sure you can start on the first season of it. There are no prequels to that part and you don't need previous knowledge of the series as far as I know. I'm not a Fate expert by any measure though so I might be wrong.
I know that one, I've actually watched half of that show. It didn't please me much, but I guess it was okay and I still plan on finishing it someday.
Fair warning about Sailor Moon though: you have plot at the beginning and then you'll get a ton of filler that gets repetitive until you get a fantastic ending. It's a solid show, but season 2 is just okay-ish. Season 3, however, is truly Sailor Moon peak. It never feels filler-ish, has a great story and characters too. It also corrects many mistakes the previous seasons committed.
Oh, I don't use social media that much and don't have an insta. Feel free to send me a message here whenever you want a more private and longer chat. I don't mind waiting a bit for a reply and that way it's easier to keep track of a discussion through profile comments
I understood what you meant. I too have a few anime I just mindlessly enjoy for no deep reason or simply because I feel really attached to the characters. It doesn't sound weird at all, sometimes people just feel at home in certain fictional works.
Yeah, I can say I admire the works of those three. Even Ito who doesn't really excel at character development or deep and complicated stories manages to surprise me with his creative monster designs and spooky atmospheres.
Hey, thanks for the FR.
I see you like some cool dudes such as Urasawa, Araki, and Ito. They have tons of fun manga and a solid collection of works overall!
