Better late than never. As usual I'm watching quite a lot of anime this season, though this time around it's pretty much just Boku dake ga Inai Machi raping everything else. Though Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo has been a pretty big surprise as well admittedly. In general it's a pretty so-so season though if you ask me
Well outside of Japan at least, not so much within it
The number of anime fans have continued to increase consistently over the years so I don't see why that would stop. Not to mention that the amount of people living on this planet keeps increasing anyway
Does't everyone give everything a biased score? Isn't that literally the point of rating something? Well anyway I'm pretty sure something will eventually surpass FMA:B given that we're talking about the indefinite future here. However that could take decades for all I know
Well of course they don't perfectly reflect my own opinion but that's to be expected, no point complaining about that. That's not what ratings are supposed to showcase after all. But yeah all those series are very popular and praised so I guess so, every series gets its score for a reason after all. The only thing that might be worth mentioning is the multitude of Gintama entries in the top which is obviously solely due to the huge sequel effect; would look better if they were all under the same entry
What I think of them? Ehh well they're the result of an overall democratic vote from its entire viewer base, not sure what there is to argue about with that... or what do you mean exactly?
Well of course, at least on MAL there's about 6-7 times as many people who watch as ones who read manga. Same can't be said for Japan though
I don't really read manga seasonally in the same way so I'm not quite as in the loop regarding their years of publishing, but of course seeing as 90% of all anime are adaptations of manga, light novels, visual novels etcetera, naturally the content they contain originates from their respective source material, so in that sense yeah I guess it's the same. Though I don't really see people trashtalking new manga compared to old one in the same way. Probably because there are statistically more elitist stuff that doesn't get adapted compared to the generic ecchi/harems and moe shows
It's not getting better or worse, it's just that there are so much more anime being produced nowadays in general than there was 10+ years ago. There are way more high rated and popular series coming out every year these days than in the past, but of course there is also way more crap as well, simply because the sample size is so much bigger. It's just that people like to look at only the bad series as a representation for the new era, and only look at the classics as a representation of the old era. Yeah sure there were a handful of great anime in the past too, but percentage-wise there was just as much crap back then as there is now, etcetera
Well again the same logic applies there too. I know the entirety of what I've seen from 2005 was really bad in my eyes for example. On recent days though then Winter this year was pretty fucking terrible too, at least discounting the Fall 2014 leftovers which were airing simultaneously
Well if you want to use that logic then Fall 2006 would be my highest on average, but that's not from a very big sample size
Well I've only watched seasonal anime for the last two years so that's not really a fair way to compare
Hmm good question... Spring 2011, Fall 2011 or Fall 2013 I think would be my favorite... bit hard to pick one though
