Anticipation hype for ; summertime render and call of the night also bofuri
HEY PASSERBY!!!
Quick word from me! I decided I'd write my top recommendations for just when you don't know what to watch. (u can click on the names, they be hyperlinks hehe : D ) 1. BOFURI 2. Hinamatsuri 3. Jashin-chan Dropkick 4. Chio's School Road
These are no 10/10s, but they made me laugh and I enjoyed them. If you ever come to not know what to watch, don't think about it, check one-a theses!
Introduction
Hi, please call me Lust--or Paradox--(lustrousparadox also works of course), or something of your choosing I guess. I've been watching anime for a few years, I try to keep my list pretty up to date. If you care for a nice conversation, here I am! I love to [sic] anime because it's not boring! There's an infinite number of things to talk about.
For example: "Lust, why haven't you finished Evangelion yet?" and I answer "How should I know? I'm not in control of me!!!"
I'm also part of MAL Rewrite. It's fun. You'll like it. Join us *pulls you into the void*
I think I became interested in anime because I started noticing repetitions in normal movies and it just got boring to me. A friend in the recess would also Naruto run and do Kamehameha. It rubbed off on me... Luckily, anime tends to have a ton of variety made it so I could see plenty of new worlds. So much that you can't always tell what's going to happen and, in my opinion, that's what I'm there for.
Predicting the end, if you're not supposed to be able to, is a very big turn-off..
Anyway, I'm an open person, shoot me a dm.

Updating my View Stats and Ratings
I don't torture myself watching something i dont like unless I'm in the final stretch. If i find a show appalling like "The Testament of Sister New Devil" I try to follow these easy steps:
1.Pause the episode.
2.Close the tab.
3.Die.
These steps are super easy to follow!
My ratings go a little like this:
10 - This is how you make a good anime.
9 - It's up to my standards, I'm hyped and talking about you to everyone
8 - Super good! Nice!
7 - Passing grade, could have been better. Not bad but could have been better.
6 - Eh. I suppose it wasn't bad. Not the best either but not a 5.
5 - Absolute average. I will forget you.
4 - Not good. What was that? Not horrible but definitely not good.
3 - What? Horrible.
2 - I regret watching this.
1 - Trauma.
What I like in anime/manga
I have many animes which are, to me, considered my favorites. But to sum it up, in easy terms, an anime I rate 8 or above is a part of my favorites. Although, if you ask me which i like most, my head will think of another, kimi no na wa, araburu, etc), so I tend to ask “what category”, as to refine my answer. My favorites are determined usually by one or many of theses traits:
An anime I like so much that I wouldn't mind seeing multiple time
An anime that makes me feel sentimental (not in a trashy way. has to be genuine)
An anime which is overflowing with beauty or that is incredibly well animated (beauty doesn't only mean visually though.)
an anime that is unique in a good way, an example would be ex: Houseki no Kuni, it's fully CG but still looks great.
not going to lie, i like feeling more than plot and stuff. Obviously its import But if im happy and it makes me feel things then its likely gonna get a good score. Am flawed like dat haha.
either a good plot or good enough energy that u can ignore the plot
I don’t get to share my favorite animes irl often because anime isn’t widely seen from a positive eye (“view” if i may) around me so i feel more confortable sharing it here. These are the ones that make me feel the most excitement or sentiment while viewing:
5. *5s change very often* — Often changes. So it's blank
4. Houseki no Kuni (Land of the Lustrous) — fourth because of how beautiful the CG is. Underrated, great story. I've never encountered CG as good as this. 10/10 Would recommend.
3. Youjo Senki (Saga of Tanya the Evil) — I find it so cool that: i could watch the same one episode 3 times in a row (favorite episodes being 4 and 6)
3. Anonymous Noise — its good.
How can i say this? Basically, you put catchy jams, deep characters, emotional relations and boom you get this. Its just full of stuff that hit you in the feels and makes you bowl of happiness if not then happy crying. Its just good!
{I’ll write more later, but it’s worth a go. Really good songs and a very sentimental and beautiful story! Check it!}
3. Yuri Kuna Arashi — neck to neck with the other 3 but because it made me cry for a long time straight up 10 minutes of crying and weeping while asking myself “why?”. It just felt deep and the ENTIRE show is a metaphor which i didn’t expect. or maybe i was really sleep deprived. That’s why it hit me so much more. {...}
{...}When i pieced everything together, it made so much sense (fyi; bears that transform into girls then eat other girls doesn’t make too much sense) the end just opens you eyes deeply (*watch at your own risk*) but still, pls watch it.
3. Obviously there are others but there are too many to name and i don’t feel like it.
2. Violet Evergarden — It has always, always, FRIKN ALWAYS makes me cry when i’d watch it. No matter what, even if i watch it more than once. It always hits me in the feels, especially episode 10. It's a must watch for anyone who wants to cry their heart out. It revives me. Revitalizes me. *sigh*
2. Kimi no Na wa. (Your Name.) — This anime is so perfect it doesn't even need an explanation. Perfect animation, heartfelt story, loveable characters, beautiful landscapes, etc. If you haven't seen this anime, you better watch it soon, or else you are really missing out. I guarantee you will fall in love with it.
1. Another — This is only anime that actually gave me chills. Normally when i watch a horror anime i'm not scarred. I say stuff like “oh dang” or “suicide squad” or even “lol get rekt” or “ok”, all in a monotone voice with zero excitement. I always laugh at horror animes with my friends. It's never an expression of fear, it's an expression of “lol”. Another actually kinda scared me, the suspense was intense. haha pun... It sucked me into it.
1. Araburu — Just watch it. you'll understand.
About my favorite characters
My favorite characters often change, but 2 always remain.
Mumei (kabaneri of the iron fortress) and Mei Misaki (another).
Now as for my favorite characters, here they are:
Mumei
She is just awesome. in every possible way. She also has a cute side, even though its hard to find it. In every single one of her fight scenes she demonstrates grace and beauty whitout anything being lewd.
Misaki Mei
She constantly defies the limit of doubt you can have in one person. She is my best girl in my eyes so don't badmouth her. She shows her smiles sometimes on extremely rare occasions.
She also takes her role in the class very clear to Sakakibara even if he keeps pestering her.
Nezuko
Nezuko is a newer addition to my favourite characters, if i were to class her she's third place. I think it's very special how she mostly says nothing but still has a presence and you see her emotions clearly (well at least to some extent). Also she is cute and i think her hairstyle is pretty cool. Her eyes are definitely also something to point out.
more gifs/images to come
Most of the animes I watch take me more time than they should. well— it's because i have a hard time letting them finish. I fall into a kind of sad mood. (it could also be the 450 tabs I have open) ... it's just that when they end up being good, i tend to not want to finish them. So, i take a break (of weeks or months) to imagine in my head the possible endings. that is also the reason why there are so many animes in my ''watching'' list... All my synopsis's
I'm not flexing but im part of the highly trained militia that is mal rewrite. jk im amateur at best. but i thought it'd be cool to put a list of all the synopsis's I've written. some im proud of. others not really. im no professional so it may seem botched at times but some are good and so yea. they're organized by more or less chronological order... more or less.
That Chihiro stunt was what really made him change though, if you have read the manga. Also, you can literally feel him going through somberness over what he did to her.
I like Katsuragi mostly because he is very relatable and doesn't buckle under pressure. Not to mention, he is not annoying unlike every other Harem MCs.
I'm absolutely not hating it at all. Where do you even read a comment of mine that was containing a hate message toward this show? Also, If you didn't know me, I never bad mouthing any show in my life. If I don't like it, I just keep it to myself cause I know not every show was created for me. I just dropped it and continue with my life, not loitering around reading up reviews just to back up my claims.
I just accidentally read the other guy comments (that Superiorer guy) and shocked that there are a person that would hate a fairly normal/flawless show that much, even giving it a 1 for score. Like I know it was not Original but still...this guy (the superiorer dude) are just lossing his mind and can't be reasoned anymore. He replied everyone that are not on the same boat as he was with insult, bad mouthing their fav anime, and call their taste trash, only because he watch/read berserk, Eva, and all that peak edgy stuff.
Yo
Had a question regarding a scene in summertime render here goes:
When mc went to the restaurant the first time the old man asked if he found the woman with big boobs but he tried to find her the second or third time when he came after dying so how come the mam asked that question the first time even tho he hadn't that action ???
Anyway. Summertime render, an anime that has been on my radar since it was announced cause I saw the manga had a high praise/score everywhere even when it's already ended its serialization (Before the anime, didn't know what this show is about)
I'm a big fan of re: zero and like the steins gate games so I definitely enjoy the show a lot. It's just a solid show with a small annoyance for now (solid 8.1/10). To be honest, I'm not an elitist basement dweller shitty weebs that's too picky about anime. If it's above average and I enjoy it, I give it at least 8.
"but it's not original concept". Hmmm first its still 5 episode, and yeah its an unoriginal concept. So what? it doesn't make a something automatically garbage. Really hate this type of peeps. It's an entertainment. if you makes entertaiment turn into paperwork or scoring board, you are throwing your enjoyment out of the window. I'm just here to watch and get entertained.
Sorry if half of the comments are rants for haters
