I'm a 35-year-old graduate from Troy University, where I double majored in computer science and print journalism in the most inefficient manner possible. I write about video games as some last-ditch effort to reconcile my two passions.
Because everyone likes lists, mine goes something like this:
1. Metroid Prime
2. Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
3. Resident Evil 4
4. Final Fantasy VI
5. Dark Souls
As for anime and manga, I guess I got my start like 90% of guys here; Toonami and Adult Swim molded me into the person I am today, for better or worse. I'd like to think my tastes are a bit more diverse than when I was 10, though.
I like pretty much everything. Seriously.
But slice of life for life.
Likes: Old-school sodas, video games, Rube Goldberg machines, Italian food, closed captioning, Batgirl, cute girls (in general), bespectacled girls, the moon, Dr. Doom, hourglasses, synths, owls, etc.
Dislikes: Owls, clowns, mannequins, clown-mannequins, ventriloquism, working out, swimming, bookshelves, homework, regular work, organ grinders, insects, things that can outrun me, owls, etc.

Good Taste!I like you son!
I'm curious why you dislike them at the same time? XD
the last few months have been pretty crazy for me. from exam hell to hospital - I've done it all. and now.... gee, I have exams again starting next week. but I have good news too: I'll be studying at Gakushuin Women's College (yes, you read that right women's.college., wtf) in TOKYO for a year starting next april! I nearly wet myself with joy when I got the news XD
but enough of me.... it's been 2 months, so what's new with you? :)
I think I know how you feel about finishing your undergrad degree. It must be pretty scary, not really knowing what will happen next. But I'm sure it's exciting at the same time... And I'm also sure you're gonna like it once you start grad school or whatever you chose to do. :)
Thanks for the links, I'm gonna check them out now. And I'm sure they are not weird... ;)
I've actually experienced a kind of "90s relapse" the past few weeks and have been listening to Fugees and Lauryn Hill a lot. Didn't think I'd ever get back to that but here I am enjoying it again. That's one of the things I love about music (and good books and movies), I guess: You can always go back to them and more often than not find that you can still get into the stuff you enjoyed years ago.
Ah well, it's 0:30 am here now and I have to get up for work in.... 7 hours. -.- So good night for now. I promise to get back to you about the music asap.... I'll try not to wait another month. :D
I've been "enjoying" my term break for a few weeks now..... meaning: I had exams and still have paper for "History of Japan" to write, due Tuesday -.- Ah well but THEN my break can finally really start. Maybe I'll finally finish Nodame. Yeah, I remember you being a big fan of OP.... I actually read the first.... 16 or so volumes when I was 18 or 19 but then I dropped it for reasons uknown. I really don't remember why I dropped it. I think I actually enjoyed it. But.... it's one of those never ending series... how many volumes are out now? ... I'm actually not sure I want to know the answer to that lol
How's university going?
Oh and I don't suppose you have any good music to recommend atm? I kinda need new input... :D
