in my honest opinion, i think this is the rare instance of an anime being better than the manga.
the anime is a real gold standard for comedic voice acting and really well done animation as it goes forward. but hey it's all up to u in the end, but I'd suggest anime
k-on is a real wholesome show, so it should get u out of a bad mood at times.

grand Blue is something that feels weird to start out with, like seriously? a diving anime? that's what I had in mind
until the first 7 minutes into the first episode.

whoa man, I'm serious tho this new kaguya season is gold standards. it is so damn good and it's preeeeeeetty important to the story, so if u do come around it, it would be amazing if u watched the 3rd season too. everything from the vas to the animation is still really well done.
oooo k-on is definitely something u can have a chill and fun time over for sure.

grand Blue is the shorter show out of the two but it's hella funny
gintama tho, is comedy all around, not to mention actual story, which hits real hard because of how great the writing is for the show

good comedy anime u ask? weeeell imo theres grand Blue, Asobi Asobase, gintama, kaguya sama, isekai quartet (since u like isekai comedy, like the entire konosuba cast is there too), joshiraku and k-on. *just to name a few lmao*

it genuinely is really unique among isekai and comedy anime in general, i really enjoy watching every ep of konosuba. its still on my rewatch list, and damn the movie was one hell of a banger too.
and damn ur right about LNs, as a manga reader myself, i really can't bring myself to read an LN.
and eyyy yea konosuba cheered me up every episode, and it's defo top ten on my list

i sure hope they can do the same kind of animation jc staff did, cuz holy hell i enjoyed jc staffs take on konosuba.
AND YES i am such a konosuba fan it killed me inside after S2 and the movie knowing there wasn't anything after. even watched the OVAs which i very rarely do for series.
