Romanian is indeed a Latin language - have you not heard it before? There is a very famous Romanian song.
How did you go about learning the English language? If what I hear isn't a big lie, our countries should be kinda similar - and I know for a fact, the average Italian can't read simplified English, let alone actual English.
I'm born in Italy, so obviously Italian, but I also speak my Mother's tongue, which is Romanian, and even know some French from middle school. Whatever little I remember either way. I assume you only know 2 languages? :o
