Heyo, I'm Jacob. I've been an anime fan for quite some time now. I eagerly consume entertainment like it's the only nourishment available for my species, I'm not super picky towards the medium that my entertainment comes from: In fact, I like to try new forms of entertainment all of the time.

Let's get into some of my non-anime/manga related stuff. My favorite novelist is Neil Gaiman (writer of great works like American Gods and Neverwhere). My favorite novel is Neverwhere; made by the previously stated Neil Gaiman. Onward to comic books my current favorite series is Saga, while my favorite comic book character has remained Nightwing since I was 10 years old. Brian K. Vaughn is my favorite comic book writer who just so happens to be writing Saga. I also read Chinese Webnovels as well! I Shall Seal The Heavens is a great piece of ongoing literature that I'd recommend everyone to at least try out.

Looking on screen I have plenty of favorites as well. The West Wing is by far my favorite live action television show; Aaron Sorkin who writes the show also happens to be my favorite television writer. I also have a need to play sitcoms in the background whenever I'm doing anything (Scrubs, Community, Happy Endings, HIMYM). We have to take a trip back to China for my favorite movie: Dragon. It's a martial arts/mystery starring someone I think is at the pinnacle of "Hollywood" martial arts: Donnie Yen.

I have quite a bit more I can say about my favorite pieces of entertainment, but I feel I should digress from rambling on about them. So I'll throw a few things about me into something that is after all supposed to be about me!

I'm a television writing student living out in Chicago (and enjoying myself). In the future I'd like to write a great many things, from a script about the politics of immortals to a series of novels following a young half-human half-demon growing up and becoming an assassin for the demon army.

Not much else to know about me, I do play some video games as well. I'm a member of a Team Fortress 2 community server group, I also play a lot of random games on steam.

Hello / Hi / Hey whatever introduction I or you think fits.

How has your holiday been going if you've had one so far and you going to be doing something fun for new years.
Personally it's been okay so far kind of similar to how it was last year, spent it with some family and did not really get much, though I was not really expecting anything anyway, other than that things have been pretty chill.
I don't have anything planed for new years so I'll probably be at home watching and hearing them go off, I don't think i'll be setting of any personally, but who knows.
Other than that Happy Holidays and soon Happy New Years, unless you see this after that in which case Happy after New Years I guess.

For anyone wondering why the message isn't more personalized, sorry it's cause I wrote one to most people on my friends list, which is only about 40 people but still didn't really want to sit here writing each person a different one when I'm fairly sure some might not even respond.
Cause it would be nice to say some words to some of them since I've not really talked much to everyone yet.
If you don't want to respond to the comment feel free to send me a message instead, if you think that's easier or you're more comfortable with that.
Last thing that I'll ask is I'm thinking of maybe starting/opening a AMA (ask me anything) or ask.fm etc. Now my life hasn't been the most interesting one, so I don't know if I'll be able to give interesting and good answers. Feel free to say I shouldn't if you think it's stupid, since it's just and idea I had/am having and thinking of.

Also found out you can only post a comment every 20 sec so this will still take a bit, oh well. lol
