1: The frequent forced and unnecessary comedy constantly interfered with the story.

2: Very inconsistent tone and style ruined the pacing.

3: The show is overly long, making the story feel very drawn out and slow when it didn't need to be, making it a slog to watch.

Of course, many disagree with all of these points, but that is my honest opinion based on my experience watching FMAB.

You probably have right, I've maybe watched about like 15 anime shows. But Steins;Gate did not impress me at all. Thanks for the warning against SAO btw ;)
