Thanks for the compliment! However, I think Adachi needs all the praise since I only witnessed the brilliant writing! Also, speak of the devil Mix was just announced to be adapted... hopefully the adaptation is half-decent *fingers crossed*. Yes hahahaha its a shame that the 'm' and 'k' keys are so close together. I sure hope that speed didn't reach near 160mph; that would've been lethal no matter where it'd hit - glove or otherwise! Yes, I will definitely give Touch a go. In fact, I watched the first 2 minutes of it around a year ago, but I felt suddenly intimidated and I scurried away temporarily. I will give it a proper watch sometime though. Being an identical twin myself, I can see myself relating to the main characters in Touch very strongly. You see, I watched this show called Figure 17: Tsubasa & Hikaru a little while back (have you heard of it?), and it quickly became one of my most adored series I've seen so far. That show also had twins who were so accurately described, that it felt like all the storyboarders involved had a monozygotic twin of their own! It's fascinating how much more rewarding a production can become when you can relate your own life to it.
Indeed I have finished Cross Game... all the way back in January! Hahah. (Time flies huh?) I completed it a few days after my last message to you and I wanted to tell you all about it but you were off; so I didn't want to type to a blank page :D. In fact, I watched the entire series in under a week, since I couldn't keep my eyes off of it. What a special show that was. Kitamura easily entered my top 20 or so favourite characters of all time and the rest of the cast don't lag behind much either! The finale was so incredibly memorable and satisfying as well - I love how we never saw Kitamura get the ball to 160kph, since the speed recorder didn't demonstrate the reading. Just shows that the obvious plot points really didn't matter in that show, and that clearly reflects the traditional Japanese mindset of keeping to yourself. Fantastic stuff.
In terms of anime btw, as I'm sure you've noticed, I'm currently going through my first watch of Cross Game; and what a watch! I understand why you hold it in such high regard. It is such an endearing and elegantly produced series that you don't get to see in this medium. Kou, in particular, is so cunning and loveable to me, so Cross Game's been a really easy watch. Can't wait to see more!
