As a writer myself, I love watching anything with a great plot, character development, story progression, and recurring significance of past deeds. Anything that has an influential amount of one or more of these elements in a story is an amazing story in my books by nature.
As a kid, I remember growing up with things such as Dragon Ball Z, Inuyaha, Pokemon, and Yu-Gi-Oh! coming on the television. I was extremely young at the time, but those memories left a lasting impression on me. As I got older, I decided to revisit those four specific anime. At the same time, I began playing a Megaman game on my Gameboy (years after its original release date,) and stumbled upon the NT Warrior series. I also was invited by friends to watch shows such as Naruto and Sword Art Online.
I remember from several of my old VHS tapes of Dragon Ball Z that there was an advertisement for an anime called Yu Yu Hakusho. I was so intrigued by its original artstyle (for an anime) and intriguing premise that I began watching it... And I watched it... and watched it. I binged this amazing series for about two weeks until I made the unpleasant discovery that there was none more to watch. The story had everything, and since then I've been looking for something that gave me the same thrill.
