Hi there, many thanks as usual! Nice to hear that you're inspired by me! I'm hoping to inspire other people as well :)

I have been reading the manga for Insomniacs at a rather low point in my life and can understand where you come from. It's realism in a sense that you can relate to it, and yeah, as you've said, it doesn't shy away from being truthful about its premises. The devil is in the details, and it both shows and tells an excellent plot that not a lot of us can relate to, though at one point of the fact.

The live-action adaptation, which is actually the movie, I have not seen yet, though I'm not too keen of live-action movies anyways.

Yeah, if you want to, read the manga from the beginning again, because although the anime is great, it has some questionable things that don't quite gel well with the manga.
