Is he a monkey, mouse, stereotype? Doesn't matter, be nice :)
Side note: I delete toxic hate comments if I don't like the pfp
10 - Exceptional: Nothing is perfect, but these stand out and are personally impactful. Absolute favorites that are beautifully crafted with excellent execution and offer a lot in their story and characters.
9 - Amazing: Excels in almost every aspect, memorable favorites. The few flaws are negated by all that it offers. High rewatch value.
8 - Great: Solid and well-rounded. Excels in a lot of ways and worth coming back to. Might have a couple of flaws, but doesn’t hinder it overall.
7 - Good: Worthwhile and just good. Either apparent issues bring it down but are outweighed by the many positives, or it’s simply well put together and worth watching. Succeeds in what it delivers.
6 - Above Average: Decent but underwhelming. Had more positives, but was hindered by substantial flaws as a whole. Overall it’s somewhat good and worthwhile.
5 - Average: Generic and lacking substance. Had its moments and good ideas, but failed to live up to its potential. Usually not bad as a whole, with many cases of bad writing and amazing production that brings it up in quality.
4 - Below Average: A letdown. Probably very flawed narratively with shallow characters. Maybe had decent ideas or production, but bogged down with issues. Failed to provide something more substantial or engaging.
3 - Bad: Failed in execution and lacking anything worthwhile. If there were decent ideas or moments, it was outweighed by serious issues.
2 - Horrible: Nothing redeemable about it, bad on all fronts. Might not be the most pathetic out there, but hard to watch unironically.
1 - Run: RUN as FAR as u can! Offensive and wish I could unsee. One of the worst experiences.
At the end of the day these are what I see in an anime and are mostly opinions :)
"What makes us obligated to meet such perfection or such absurd standards? Is your entire life just a job?!" - Nobara Kugisaki
“If you haven’t been in my shoes then I don’t want you telling me what’s right and wrong.” - Nobara Kugisaki
"I always thought that life was about standing your ground, no matter how strong the current was. But going with the flow isn’t so bad after all. As long as it takes you forward." - Nana Osaki
“Having a dream come true and being happy. Why are they so different? Even now, I still don’t get it.”- Nana Komatsu
“People can’t just be tied together, they have to connect. Otherwise they’ll find themselves bound hand and foot." - Nana Komatsu
“Your life depends only on yourself. I'm still convinced about this...but I've also learned to accept that people don't all become as strong, and it has made me kinder than before." - Nana Osaki
“People say that if you fight, it means you’re close to someone; but in the end, a fight is just a collision of egos. People don’t learn to understand each other just by laying bare their feelings.” – Nana Osaki
"Oftentimes, people say that only the closest of friends fight. But, really, fighting is just a conflict between two individuals. After all, humans cannot understand each other solely by telling the truth. It's impossible to stay away from being hurt for a lifetime. But, try your best not to hurt those around you. I really think that's how it should be." - Nana Komatsu
“People are such strange beings. The sad memories seem to just fade away, until all a person is left with are the happier ones. People are certainly designed so conveniently.” – Eva Heinemann
"How weak the mind when it wants to forget. Maybe you didn't forget. Maybe you're just lying. Is it a lie you tell to everyone around you or perhaps a lie you tell to yourself?" - Johan Liebert
"This world is made of countless boxes. People bend and stuff their bodies into their own boxes. And stay there for the rest of their lives. And eventually, inside the box, they forget: what they looked like; what they loved; who they loved." - Santoshi Watase
"I don't think I'll ever experience love, and I'm perfectly all right with that. But when you see someone do something you can't, you can't help admiring them. Of course, it's not like things will go well for everyone, but I do prefer plays with a happy ending." - Seiji Maki
"No matter how close you are as kids, if you move or change schools, you become estranged. So many people, such a small city, How many people would I come to know in the future? How many people could I hope to truly understand?” - Yukari Hayasaka
“No one can be completely sure of their own choices and will. Everyone is worried and confused and influenced by the ideas of people around them.” - Hiroyuki Tokumori
"People can’t understand everything about each other. And yet people still live together. The love of sharing trivial, meaningless things with others is human nature. I suppose that’s why humans can’t stand to be alone." - Yakumo Yuurakutei
“People find it hard to doubt those they’ve fallen in love with. They can’t even imagine they’re being deceived and used.” – Anthy Himemiya
“You really don’t know what happened, do you? It doesn’t matter. By all means, stay in this cozy coffin of yours and continue to play prince. But I have to go now. She’s not gone at all, she merely vanished from your world. Farewell.” – Anthy Himemiya
“I guess, in the end, I couldn’t be a prince. Forgive me, Anthy, for pretending to be a prince.” – Utena Tenjou

“Isn’t the foolishness of the few a more precious commodity than the wisdom of the masses?” – Gilgamesh
“Learn to make your own decisions, instead of relying on others to make them for you. Otherwise, those decisions will never really be made.” – Yuuko Ichihara
“Family is other people. No matter how close your blood relationship is… no matter what your relationship may be… anyone other than you is not you! And so you have to think it over and decide for yourself! Take away other people’s wants and needs, and decide if this is something that is necessary for you! It may cause hardships to others, but you want it. That’s your free will right there! But you ignore that and decide based on someone else’s advice, because decency demands it, because people say it’s awful, you will fail and quit. No one could succeed that way!” – Yuuko Ichihara
“People can wish for anything. Happiness or unhappiness. No matter what kind of choice you made, it was the result you chose… As long as you’re not regretting the result, it is all right.” - Yuuko Ichihara
Favorite characters are in alphabetical order. Will update favorite mangas when I'm more caught up. I'm very busy with uni and work these days, so will be less active until the school year ends.
That's so great to hear!!! Masa's character development is just amazing by the end. I'm glad you liked it. Really curious to see how they change things in the anime. Do you have discord btw?
I agree! pdf's are nice to read on a phone but you know what's better? Reading them on a Kindle. I wish I had one now tho. :/
That's understandable. Do you have a discord by any chance? I've been busy as well, so I think it might be easier to interact with each other more often on there if that's fine with you.
Sarazanmai was a ton of fun! The themes were well handled, and the characters were had a lot of relatable and likeable qualities and I really liked its messages about connecting with others. I also really liked the use of color, it looks really great! Despite having a lot of Ikuhara-isms (social commentary, repetitive scenes, symbolism, I'd say it's arguably his most accessible work to date. Since you're a fan of Ikuhara's previous works, you should definitely check it out someday!
Ahhh You're finally watching Bakemonogatari ehh? I hope you enjoy the ride and I'm excited to know your thoughts on Bake (and the rest of the series) when you're finished! Also I'm guessing that Angel Beats was not one of the most life-changing emotion shows you've ever seen huh?
I really like reading, but seems I have so little time these days :(.
This feeling can relate to :/ Granted I haven't took reading literature as serious as a hobby as I should've until late last year Now when I *actually* want to start reading more school just comes and destroys my plans entirely lmao. As I mentioned I don't really read all that much but I really liked No Longer Human and 1984 a lot, Some of you're favorites are ones I've been meaning to get to for a while coincidentally enough I've been slowly reading Crime And Punishment and I'm enjoying that one and the Picture of Dorian Gray is one of many anticipated books I've been meaning to read for a while now (dune as well since I liked the movie adaptation). Do you usually purchase all that books that you want to read or just download pdf versions of them online?
Thanks I meant to say spring break instead of summer. I still have a while unit mines start to as well haha.
How did you like the first episode Of Spy X Family I've been meaning to watch it but I've barely got enough time to watch seasonal anime these days.. Also bit of an unrelated question but do you read literature by any chance? If so what are your favorites?
I liked it the first time but re-watching it made me appreciate if more for the themes and messages that it communicate about the use of the internet, religion, the real world etc. The atmosphere is really creepy but immersing and definitely fits the show. Unfortunately its has so much to soak in that I can't make all that much sense of it but another re-watch might help soon lmao. Seems lie you finished it a awhile back ago, what did you think about the show and ending overall??
Thanks and currently I'm (somewhat) on summer break rn so for a while I'll hopefully be active to reply sooner than usual haha
Awesome to hear you liked EoE a more second time around! I've already seen the movie myself twice but I'm sorta in the mood to re-watch it again for a reminder of its positive message as well. Idk if I've ever asked you this, but what do you think about the original ending of the Tv series?
I really love your new Profile Layout aesthetic btw! It making me in the mood to re-watch HNK all over again haha. How's Lain going for you so far? I recently just re-watch it myself and I see we both have the same score for it
Sorry for replying late btw Physical Classes started for me a while ago so expect more late replies from me from now on (could only reply today since there's a holiday where I live at lmao)
Hiiiiii its been so long since we talked lmao, i was wandering mal after a long time and remembered my talks w you being so much fun. I see you became a huge HnK manga fan, that's great since i remember telling you how amazing it actually was and trying always to avoid any spoilers lol, loved the new aesthetic of your page.
I liked the original ending too! There's a lot of debate around it and the movie does add a lot, but I thought the series finale was still good just really Anno lol. How was Revue Starlight?
Hope you enjoy more this time around! How are you enjoying Shoujo☆Kageki Revue Starlight so far? That was another show directed by Ikuhara if I recall correctly?
Also You re-watched EOE and now its in your favourites list?! That's based Did you also re-watch Angel's Egg as well or was your first time? I should probably re-watch it for myself someday...
That sounds fun! Yeah, the movie picks up right where it needed to and really drives in the show's themes. What do you think of the original show's ending btw?
