Sorta maybe slightly likes anime a little bit (I guess?)

Long live the band.
Oh, noice. Looking forward to it. Let me know when you drop the EP. The track you linked has a real 90s early 00s punk-rock feel to it. Just with the lack of edgy teen lyrics.
I've fallen greatly behind on seasonal anime. Haven't had much time to watch anime, as well as no motivation to watch any. From what others have told me, is that starting around episode 6/7, all the 5deep3me symbolism starts coming together.
Hope you enjoyed the new ep of YK :P I love this show so much. It's the best thing this season, by far. Do you have any hypotheses on the meaning behind this all? I'd love to discuss every week, since I recently emigrated away from Reddit, and can't partake in the busier discussion threads that they have there... I still love sifting through everything every week. I love this kind of symbolic stuff!
Ahhhhh! Please don't make me pick up any more shows <.< Idk if I can handle anymore, lol. Though, I have heard that Shirobako is really good...
Man, Yurikuma, though. I love theorizing about that show. We should totes discuss every week. I don't really have anyone to postulate with since I left Reddit, for the most part, and Voat doesn't have much of an anime subverse yet <.<
Death Parade is pretty much the hype anime of the season. All the kids are raving over it's baseless 2deep4u to handle elements. I recommend you watch Death billiards before watching Death Parade. It's not a prequel, but it will give you the gist of what it's about.
Ah. Good luck with the music dude. Looking forward to some more stuff. Nah. Not really. The writing was really just for that class. I did get an A+ though, but there really isn't any urge to write.
Noice. You have anything planned for being released? The writing? That was just for class. Passed with an A so no reason to write anymore.
I've been alright. Just busy with school stuff mostly. How about you?
I picked up Kofuku Graffiti, and I'm enjoying it well enough. The main draw is cute girls and good food. But cute girls only take me so far, and I can't eat some of the food they present. There're anime I'm enjoying more this season, but I'll stick with Kofuku Graffit, if only for the cute girls and the culinary inspiraton. I've actually been on an Asian food kick this past week, haha! I made tofu lo-mein and lentil curry, both of which turned out pretty good. I'm making udon this week (as soon as I find some white miso, that is).
Yeah, I'm super pumped for this season. Ironically, last season I was hyped for stuff, like Log Horizon 2 and Fate/stay night, but I ended up disappointed overall (Fate/stay night was freaking awesome -- that one didn't disappoint). I thought this season was gonna be lackluster, but I'm really enjoying everything so far. Yurikuma Arashi is a trippy SHAFT-like puzzle that I'm enjoying being befuddled by. Death Parade is a good derivative of the one-off Death Billiards. DRRR!!x2 is a sequel to one of my top shows. Rolling Girls is a nice KLK-like surprise. And Junketsu no Maria is a possibly interesting historical anime with a kind of weird sexual main plot. Overall, a pretty good season if it keeps up!
I had not noticed the spindliness of the DRRR!!x2's characters. I kinda of noticed that Ryugamine was kinda lankier than I remembered, though. Is that the same as it was in the original, or is it an artistic choice by the new studio? There are worse things they could've done, at least :P DRRR!!x2 is slowly getting more interesting. I hope it turns into an awesome crescendo, rather than flopping on its face.
Evangelion is pretty good. I went in with everyone hyping the shit out of it, and that show is kind of a monster-of-the-week towards the beginning, so I was kinda unimpressed. It's definitely getting intense now, though, but I'm having trouble keeping everything straight in my head. Idk if I'm just a little slow, or if it's supposed to be that way, and it'll all become a cohesive whole at some point. All in all, I'd give it a 7/10 right now, which isn't a bad score, in my book. But short of spectacular...for now.
That pretty aptly describes the standard US diet. Kinda glad I'm a vegan because it precludes me from a lot of the trash that most people eat. Can't go to McDonald's if you can't eat meat :P I'm a weakling when it comes to chocolate. You're gonna end up getting me addicted to something, I feel like :P
I know what snow peas are! I'll def add some of those to the stir fry. I'll try to find mirin, but I doubt the store I go has that. Never know though. Question before I forget: How do you dry out your tofu? Whenever I have tofu, I cook it straight outta the package, and it takes forever because there's so much water. I've heard of some way to dry it by freezing it, but I don't know the method. Could probably just do a search, but I wanted to know if you had a specific method you use.
How do I know if my greens will be soggy? I'm just gonna by a pre-packaged salad kinda thing for my greens; should I cook that separately?
When you do the seasoning, do you just use small splashes/sprinkles of stuff? Is it worth throwing in sugar if I'm not using mirin?
Thank you for the tips! I'll let you know how it turns out!
Oh, man, I remember random battles on Showdown. Good times. I haven't been on there in forever... I tried to check in on the old IRC I bummed around in, but it moved somewhere else. One thing that stinks about Internet friendships is how easy it is to lose track of people :(
Yeah, this season was pretty disappointing. I really enjoyed Fate/stay night and Parasyte is pretty good, but everything else kinda fell flat. The one thing I'm super hyped for this season is DRRR!!x2, but it's a different studio. And having weathered three seasons of anime now, I'm already disenfranchised with the hype train XD I'm going to watch Tokyo Ghoul soonish. What's your opinion on that show?
Pumpkin pie is one of my favorite forms of pie! I'll make some and ship it internationally to you :P As far as I can tell, US food culture is McDonald's and Burger King, which I'm not too fond of either. I consider cooking for yourself outside of the mainstream, lol. What's the difference between US and UK chocolate? I can only have milk-less dark chocolate, so I don't eat big-brand candy bars that often.
That gives me a pretty good idea for stir fry. Thank you! I'm gonna make some for some friends (or a friend, if things work out the way I think they're gonna). I've never heard of some of those ingredients, and am not sure if they're easily available Stateside. Out of curiousity, what are mange tout and mirin? Dunno if I've ever used either of those before.
Also, how do leafy greens turn out in stir fry? I've never tried that. The stir fry my dad and I used to make was stuff like mushrooms, bamboo shoots, broccoli, mini corn, asparagus, and other things I didn't take the time to identify. I've never tried anything leafy.
Thirdly, what's your process? My dad and I just dumped everything into a wok along with the sauce and stirred, but idk if that was proper. I feel like doing that with cabbage/greens and potatoes would make them soggy and gross. Do you just stir fry it in oil first, and then add the sauce when you serve it? We used this orange ginger glaze, to clarify. But it sounds like you just add some soy sauce and the like afterwards, which I'm down to try.
Enough about stiry fry, then :P Lemme know if you end up getting that 3DS -- I'll have to add you! Actually, I hung out in a Pokemon League IRC before the Cafe. I never did challenge them, but I theorized a few competitive teams that I'd test run in Showdown. We used that pretty much 90% of the time, and only the gym battles actually took place on the DS. Tbh, I'm rubbish at competitive play. More of a collector.
I usually pick out a fair few shows every season. I've had to lower my number of already-aired shows I watch at a time to one, but I like being part of the community as a show airs. Plus, it's always cool to say you watched something when it aired if it turns out to be awesome. I've got eleven more shows picked out next season (including the two-cours from this season). You can check my profile if you're curious about which I'm planning.
As for recommendations, I'd say that Your Lie in April is a maybe. It looks really nice and has some awesome classical music scenes, but at it's core, it's a pretty plain romance, as far as I can tell. There's dark pasts and death flags already, and I just haven't been very impressed since pretty early on.
SAO II was hot garbage, and that's all I have to say about that.
Psycho-Pass 2 took the series in a different (not as awesome) direction. There was far less characer development and interaction, but more action. I cared less about the characters this season, and ended up confused about the motivations of the antagonists. Overall, it was a far cry from the original, and I blame that on a lack of Gen Urobuchi. I believe he's writing the movie, so that should be good. If you liked Psycho-Pass 1, give 2 a whirl. It's eleven eps, and is disappointing, but worth it if you love the series.
Log Horizon II is similarly boring to P-P 2. There were a lot of parts in LH1 that I thought were boring, and it just feels like that got extended into S2. That series shines with action and combat strategy, but they focus too much on pseudo-economics and character interaction. There are some good parts, but it's been pretty mediocre, as well.
Overall, this season has been kind of disappointing. In fact, the last few have. I'm tentaively hoping that DRRR!!x2 Shou is good because, while I love the series, it's a different studio, and that makes me wary. Are Oregairu 2 and NNB2 this season??
Yeah! Second season of Kiniro Mosaic will be coming out this year as well. So much moe goodness coming out this year. I would also like to browse at my local bookstores, but they tend to only carry the really popular ones such as Bleach, Naruto, and so forth. The film has been in production for quite some time already. This is the prequel for everything that has happened in the series so far, so the anticipation for it's release (release date as well!) is pretty high. As for what order you watch them in, you watch by airing date.
I would have been disappointed if it did end in a happy note. It would have ruined the overall setting and atmosphere that the story created since the beginning. You're right though that it was a classic horror bad-ending.
