I watch anime pretty casually. Usually binge older anime (like 4-5 episodes everyday). I'm pretty open minded. I check out an anime myself before judging. Don't finish anime I don't find entertaining. Anyways here's how I got into anime:
I was always a fan of animation. I have watched almost every popular Animation movies by Pixar, Disney, Dreamworks, etc. But in 2021. During quarantine, I was at home watching my favorite movie review channel (Chris Stuckmann) review a movie called "josee the tiger and the fish." In the video he mentioned A Silent Voice and Your Name. I read really positive reviews for both films online so I decided to watch them both starting with A Silent Voice. And...I just couldn't believe it..after months of numbing depression...I felt something! I understood Shoya's guilt, Nishimiya's self hatred, Shoya's realization and self forgiveness. I cried for the first time in a year. This movie..no this masterpiece helped me forgive myself and inspired me to connect with more and more people. I watched a lot of KyoAni's shows after that. Clannad and Clannad After Story broke my heart and joined it back. Made me understand the importance of family even more (Dom would be proud ಥ◡ಥ). I loved every one of KyoAni's anime. Then Konosuba, Death Note, Re:Zero, Mushoku Tensei, A few Ghibli movies, Haikyuu and recently Attack On Titan. I loved each and every one of them!
I wonder where was anime all my life? (=^_^=)
