I took some inspiration from your list ;). It was no coincidence. Will let you know once I finish that and the last two episodes of Planetes. Eventually I want to get to the "gatari" shows, as we talked about that in the past, but there is no rush. I am also not watching much anime at the moment. Juggling 3 Korean dramas at the same time. I get sidetracked often. I tried watching Ousama Ranking a while ago, but I lost interest after a while...The art was reminiscent of Studio Ghibli's and Miyazki's works.

Yeah, I highly recommend Shiguang, though it takes time getting used to the Mandarin (I believe it is Mandarin) and the animation. It has time travelling, and I think they manage it fairly well. Let me know what you think. I need t watch two more Planetes episodes to finish, but it was great (I just got sidetracked). I am almost finished with 91 Days, btw, and I must say it is class. Odd Taxi was amazing, though the reveal at the end probably drops the rewatch value. Once you know the end, the second viewing probably won't live up to the first viewing.

Hhaha. Yeah, your review was spot on. The immersion is no longer there. I am just watching it for closure and because of the time that was invested. Also, I want to see if the anime ends exactly as the last diabolical manga chapter. Goes to show how a poor ending can ruin an otherwise decent anime. Haven't been watching much anime recently. Was busy with Korean dramas. Still got like 2 Planetes episodes to watch. Have you watched Odd Taxi and Shiguang Daliren?

Your concerns about the memory manipulation, etc., were justified. This show has too many dei ex machina. Wish they didn't go down this route of different civilizations trying to compete for titans. It would have been better if they had stuck within their island and opted for a coup d'état or something, where the king was a titan or something. The story is now far too convoluted, imo. But the action is still pretty good. The opening song and ending song are decent too. Let's hope that it won't end exactly like the manga, because the ending is diabolical. Even previous fans got mad at the ending.

I have caught up now. Sadly I already know how the manga ends, and I won't spoil this for you. If the anime ends like the manga, it will be a complete joke. The mangaka probably never intended for this to drag out so long, and thus he made a lot of incoherent shit up, which already shows. All this time travelling nonsense that we are seeing right now is laughable. The Founder Titan is way too OP for this universe. Might as well have DBZ characters if we are going down this route.

I do agree that I am looking forward to see what kind of crazy shit Eren will do. When he owned Mikasa and Armin, that was dope. Hopefully, he won't say that it was all an "act" just before he dies.... I think he will die. It looks very likely that the mangaka will kill lots of people off at the end. I just hope that Eren doesn't die in Mikasa's arm or something stupid like that. There will probably be a part 2.

Eren's character is more entertaining now, but his transition is way too abrupt. Again...Very lazy writing. He changed over the years, which we didn't see. Conveniently, he is brooding now after meeting Zeke, etc. I like how he owned that dog turd Mikasa, though. Still think his character cannot really be justified. He turned into a complete asshole just like that, and a flashback is all that was required. Lazy writing. Levi's fight against Zeke could have been great, but the shitty music fked the immersion. Which genius decided to use that type of music for the AoT universe. AoT is not a modern setting. So retarded, if you get me. I agree, Levi just became retarded. Hopefully Mikasa will not be Levi 2.0. She is nowhere near as gifted. She is redundant piece of turd. Let's see how this ends.

Hhaha. Narujesus and the talk-no-jutsu BS, lol! Apart from that, Naruto has a very fascinating world. Most of these anime have clichés, but I enjoyed Naruto quite a bit at the time. If I were to watch it from scratch now, I might not like it as much. Bleach, imo, was nowhere near as good. But there was one arc that was pretty spectacular in terms of the action and hype. Also, Bleach has Aizen (such a cool guy). Yep. No fkn way that AoT will cover everything. I think the manga is still ongoing. I recon there will be a part 2 for this season. Or, they might do a movie. No idea. Let me know your thoughts. There is one episode in particular that I would like to discuss.

Also, Juju can't hold a candle against the classic shounen: Bleach, Naruto, etc. All these shounen have several flaws, but they are very innovative. The fights tend to be muuuuuuch better, and the best characters wayyyy cooler. All the major shounen have pacing issues, long figts, etc., but there is no denying that the characters on average are more memorable, and the fighting style is also more captivating. The amount of imagination that went into Naruto basically makes Juju look lame.
