Yeah that's why I said, "comedy one can still work nonetheless" and same goes for slice of life, as you mentioned. It can also work with Seasonal (12-13 eps) or with movies (like silent voice, your name, pancreas etc.) But with longer one, such as "monster" or "Naruto" or any other series with 3 seasons ≤ is more or less waste of time, else just watch and enjoy its good moments for nostalgia, but re-watching maybe a bit more tough.

I mean, I have many reasons, for not to re-watch 😾
1) I remember most of the basic plot, character types, or sometimes exact scenes, which can ruin my experience of a series I've seen and loved before.
2) Now say it with genres with re-watching it, if it's a comedy one -> it might be hit or miss (As you already know what the joke is about, but it can still work nonetheless, but not exactly like the first time you heard, saw or experienced it.), if it's a suspense -> it's the worst one, because you already know everything, I don't need to say anything about this one, same goes for romantic subtext or any other genres.
3) Watching a lot in less time, If I get free time, I like to use it to watch something from my watch list which is pending for so long, sometimes new seasonal or sometimes og ones, or continuing the spin offs of favs one, etc...

More or less, It's not that I don't like to watch again, I experienced all of this only after watching my favorite series again.
