Not much of a writer but here are my scattered thoughts on the series.
First of all, the score is amazing. It sets up the mood really well. Someday I'll forget about the plot, characters, and animation, but I'm sure the score for this will stick with me. Props to mabanua, the score for this one has grown on me and yeah, I really like it.
I found it amusing how Night Running was spammed all throughout the series. Don't get me wrong, I love the track. It's even how i found this series (and was what urged me to watch it) in the first

place. But it's literally the only pop song (aside from the extra one during the concert. was genuinely surprised when it wasn't Night Running lmao, the concert cover for NR was also dope) in the series. Perhaps, I found it cringy. Maybe it had something to do with how meta it seemed, characters referencing it and all, that took me out of my experience.
Animation was clear and on point, it's Trigger so I knew what I was getting into beforehand. Good stuff all throughout. I liked how they greyed out the ending visuals for episode 11, insinuating that something happened lol
Might have some spoilers after this. sorry bout that
for the most part, Michiru really was sticking her nose in things. everytime Nazuna calls her out on it, I was in agreement. Similarly, I was agreement with Alan until he went batshit. altho that may be due to my human biases lol
But in the end, michiru and oogami's actions were justified. Imagine how bad and annoying it would be if it wasn't tho. If there was no evil plot, would be annoying as hell. I think that's where my i found her annoying for when she kept butting in other people's business lol
the migratory bird issue was interesting, as well as the main logic behind niruvasyl syndrome. the whole beastmen-human divide felt like a metaphor for racism, but with it ending in "beastmen go crazy because of their dna" end up coming off as even more racist lmao a sort of cop out going "that's just how they are". i didnt even think of the eugenics angle until after.
After how heavy the previous episodes were for me, the finale felt so unserious with how it took itself. The part where Michiru was swatting the drones like flies was probably what made me feel this way. The Sylvasta reveal was kinda obvious, pretty sure no one was surprised by that, but have a three heads was kinda wack lmao
After that I just went with it and them broadcasting a howl with the opening song playing in the background was pretty chill. The final wolf being a laser light show was so out there that any hope of me taking the finale seriously was lost.
Back to the howl though. I wanted to give this a high score, but Shirou's howling was just fucking horrible, like actually laughably bad so i had to rate it a whole point lower lmao jk
Alan's whole "we control the world speech" was just too in-your-face for my tastes that i wanted to give the series a 7 or 6, but i still did enjoy most of it so 8 i guess.
the wrap up was kinda wholesome lol cute i guess. I'm glad there wasn't a lead on for a season 2 because i dont think i'd watch it tbh.
Overall, probably a 7.5. Not a life changing show, but not an absolute waste of your time. If anything, new songs to add to your playlist.
