Currently watching "The Eminence in Shadow", which is like an incredibly Chuuni & Edgelord version of Overlord. Haven't laughed so hard from an anime in a while but I'll have to see if it ends up as one of the comedies that gets old & boring after a while like you said. Got 15 more episodes to find out.

I honestly don't even remember what happened towards the end and you'll also forget Arifureta in a few weeks/months too. Anyway, been enjoying this season's comedies.

Well Arifureta S2 is definitely a step up from the 1st season, with some really well animated water at times. The story itself is mostly forgettable.

And there goes another show you didn't like, which I enjoyed, with regards to The World's Finest Assassin Gets Reincarnated... What was your main gripe?

Oh, what you're referring to isn't the 2nd Season of Mushoku Tensei, but the 2nd Part of Season 1. The actual 2nd Season isn't out yet and probably won't be out til next Winter Season. As for Part 2, it definitely has greater highs and lows than Part 1.

As for Kuga... I only ever considered him somewhat OP when he had the Black Trigger in Season 1. Without it, he's not OP at all, he just has a unique fighting style that many struggle to deal with until they all start getting used to it. Now the Trion Monster "Chika" is definitely OP. She's not that good of a combatant besides having incredible aim with a rifle. It's just her Monstrous Trion levels that allows her to do things that no one else simply can do.

But I also share your worry about how the show would continue, because I've seen so many shows fall by the wayside, when they try to expand the scope of their conflict. Hopefully they retain their tactical fighting style, when fighting for real.

Well at least the next season of Mushoku Tensei will be a lot less predatory & pervy; with a lot more action adventuring, especially if it's split up into 2 parts again.

You know right after finishing World Trigger I went onto watch the most recent season of My Hero Academia and it just felt underwhelming in comparison. Both series were dealing with super-powered team battles but I was immediately reminded me how simplistic team battles tend to be in Shounen anime. Honestly the battles in My Hero weren't bad, it just relied too much on the uniqueness of the quirk and barely on any strategy. Whereas in World Trigger, just picking the arena played a key role, let alone the insane fights with kill stealing everywhere.

BTW... You're every going to finish any of the old stuff you're "Currently Watching" like: Bounen no Xamdou, ef: A Tale of Memories., Gin no Saji or Kanon (2006)? Looking at that list has made me feel all sorts of nostalgia.

Damn. It's a shame you didn't like Mushoku Tensei.

Well at least I know you'd enjoy World Trigger 3rd Season. Just finished it and the animation is just insane at this point.

Yeah, it's pretty much the same. Novels were far beyond the anime and wanted to see how things developed. Though it's only been recently that those 2 have received anime continuations to the story, so maybe Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei will get one, since the LNs have been consistently selling well.

I don't consider it to be much of a guilty pleasure and I also re-watched the series, at least once. Well nowadays I read more novels than watch anime, so maybe I'll check out the LN some day.

Guess I'll set completing FranXX to low priority, whilst I go through my backlog.

Ooh~ So you're finally getting into light novels. But why Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei? I wonder if it's the same reason why I read the Full Metal Panic or SAO novels back in the day.

Wow, was Darling in the FranXX really that bad? I ask since I've only watched the 1st couple episode so far and find them to be pretty good.

I'll summed it up like this:

Rosario + Vampire (anime)
Season 1 - 4/10
Season 2 - Dropped

Rosario + Vampire (manga)
Season 1 - 8/10
Season 2 - 9/10

But those are just my opinions. And as for reading, I used to be the same way, but then I realized that there are so many amazing stories out there that may never get the anime adaptation they deserve. Currently reading one where I'm following the life of a particular character from birth, through childhood. Now he's an adult with a wife and child and I'm only halfway through.

So are you ever going to get round to reading the Rosario to Vampire manga, or will it forever be on your 'plan to read' list?

Well I think the new champions passive is to pick up anyone's used Summoners and Item Abilities and use them. Which is what you see in that Viktor and Jinx clip. And she comes with a new CC that puts people to "Sleep". Sleep works like a Stun, but last much longer and attacking someone who's put to sleep will wake them up.

As for Code Geass, I think it's for next year but don't care enough to check. Just don't see how they can drag another story out of that ending.
