If you like 90s anime then Kareshi kanojo no jijou is a great romance to try! It's one of those that weren't fully adapted but the first 18 episodes are a perfect arc and the ones after aren't bad either.
In terms of romance in non romance anime/manga I'd say Berserk of all things has a great one with Casca and Guts but be mindful that it's an extremely messed up tragic story.
