The funny thing is I'm not really too into sports in general, but I really dig sports anime. They're like... realistic shounens or something haha, no idea. But most sports shows I've seen I've really dug. Aoki Densetsu Shoot is the only one I've seen so far that was subpar for me. I noticed you haven't seen Hajime no Ippo, that is probably my favorite for sports shows. Both one of the most intense (best fights) and funniest show I've seen heh.
Angeletta just went off with her grandmother. This part and the Wolf Pac bits before it are probably my favorite parts so far.
I think I had a similar experience with MB. If someone really wanted me to break down why I liked it as much as I did, I would probably have trouble doing that haha. It was flawed and so chaotic, but just enjoyable and amusing. Yeah, if I remember right Miwa got the shaft a few times? I guess he'd be better off with more sane people anyways haha.
8 seems pretty high so I take it you still liked it a good bit. I predict you'd like HYD a little more if you want something more mature. Comes with the misunderstandings and indecisiveness as always haha, but yeah. I feel like in comparison to MB, the main character in HYD gets WAY more focus and is a much stronger lead. The cast expands as it goes, but she is always the main focus and it seems a bit more personalized to her if that makes sense. In MB if I remember right sometimes it felt like it wasn't even Miki's show haha. The characters in HYD seem more iconic and complex too, more realistic and flawed people. Sadly it only covers like half the series if even, so I guess that is something to keep in mind. I started reading it but I suck at reading manga, so I stalled on it awhile back lol...
But yeah, if you want something more cute, heartwarming, and smooth sailing, Itazura na Kiss was great fun heh.
Luckily everything else is amazing, but yeah I'd love to punch these two. The dad is cool.
The drama continues haha... yeah. Actually I think one of the last big arcs in MB is filler. It's been awhile though, I think they go to America or something. I don't recall it being a huge stepdown from before but I can't remember. Think it had a solid finish and the one movie wasn't too bad.
Sounds like you liked it a little more than me. I settled for a 7, but I definitely wished it kept going. I think it was just a bit too slow and mellow at times for me haha, but yeah I don't really have any issues with it.
Poor Amiri! Haha, she was actually one of my favorites and seemed the most neutral to me. But yeah these characters can go either way for anyone. I liked that Miki reminded me a little of Miaka from Fushigi Yuugi, but maybe it's just me. Have you seen Miwa yet? He was probably my favorite character.
HYD definitely gets a top vote from me. It's cool that it has some original composer or something that hasn't done much else, the VA's are real actors (that do a good job here), and the director has an awesome style... so everything about it is way different than the rest and makes it really unique. I'm not sure what I like more between the two but this one is probably much more tolerable compared to MB. I've been meaning to get through the manga but I suck at reading. lol
Still need to hit up more in the genre myself. This one was awesome though and very laid back with no angst or annoying moments at all, not too long either, so if you want something really easy going and fun this would be perfect, also Nana Mizuki is too hot. http://myanimelist.net/anime/3731/Itazura_na_Kiss
Haha yeah at first I was wanting to buy everything from them, but not so much now. I think it's cool though if some of this newer or goofier popular stuff can help reel in more revenue for them to give us the goods. I think Giant Gorg was the most shocking thing they've licensed so far to me, I hope that's a sign they'll be able to do more of Sunrise's old stuff.
I guess I just expect some evil, SOB, dirty types in stuff like WMT, or Rose of Versailles haha. In ways the realism to this stuff makes these characters more evil than traditional villains in other shows lol. I thought the God of Death burning down those crops in the beginning, after seeing such a happy small village and kids, families, etc, it felt like one of the most disturbing things I've seen in a show. lol
Oh man Marmalade Boy... you're gonna love to hate some characters there I'm sure haha, but that one was addicting and too fun. It was fun to hate characters! lol, in a way it's like that can be better than getting no emotion at all out of some show. I could see Marmalade Boy being pretty contrasting to some but I definitely enjoyed the ride. I finally got around to Hana Yori Dango last year myself and it was awesome too.
Looks like some nice updates. Have you seen all the crazy stuff Discotek is licensing thesedays? Tons of classics I want to own, its awesome.
I look back on Angel Heart favorably. But it was almost too mellow for me haha, though it did have a nice feel good calming pace, I just wish it did a little more. Xiang and the young dude were great additions though. I do remember wishing it kept going near the end, because I think the manga is a lot longer and covers more probably. I definitely like City Hunter a lot more and they don't seem to connect 100% officially, but it was cool to see an alternate take on those characters.
I always love the Paris-like slums streets stuff, which Romeo definitely seems to have so far. I've become a huge fan of this composer, this guy did God Mars and L-Gaim for some awesome mecha stuff, but everything else I've heard is incredible as well. Love the art too. So yeah, it's got a lot of good points going so far and I can see it being one of my favorites for WMT. I take it the characters you didn't like were intentionally like that... since there always seems to be some evil people in these haha.

But yes, she's awesome, and the show looks awesome!
I'd say after MB, the others will probably be smooth sailing in comparison haha.

Angel Heart... not bad, but definitely different from City Hunter. lol
