Ok I'll be honest. I cried and it is the 4th time I ever cry in an anime, certainly didn't expect it to happen in a shounen. That was one of the best depiction of pure love I've seen and it was a love not (only) a man has for a woman but a human has for life.
The dialogues were superb, the themes and symbolism were amazing and everything tied well together at the end. Dat character Meruem!!! OMG.
First I'll mention that Meruem finally understood what really matters and what brings happiness. He was willing to bow (O.O) before Palm just to see Komugi, there you have the most powerful being and he cares nothing about his pride, power, money, world domination or evolution of his species he cares only about playing Gungi with Komugi ...the simple things in life. When he was playing the game someone mentioned about this in the forums how at episode 104 the move kokoriko (or sth) meant King and how the next move is called Shiro(road to death). This is amazing because here we have Komugi finding a way of no way and "saving" the King (telling he doesn't need to die) but Meruem then plays a move a reversal basically saying that he will need to die (by poison) and then Komugi does a reversal of reversal saying that it doesn't have to be the case and she will go with him.... O.O Here we actually have a spiritual message that might mean that death is not the end and that true death is being alone, Komugi at the end follows the King and she actually asked him "I may not be worthy but will you please take me with you" something like that. I think around here tears started falling.... And the final sequence just made it even worse. Where Meruem had lost almost all his senses, at least the sense of sight for sure. To think that he was the light (brought happiness) to Komugi, what his name actually means what his mother actually named him and that's what he was born for, for that one moment O.O. I am speechless by the level of the writing and the complexity of the characters and the story.... So I continued crying.
But another amazing thing that actually ties incredibly well with the themes of this arc and specifically with Meruem's development was that Real Diego (which at the beginning I didn't get at all). His monologue (this poem) shows us exactly where Meruem transcended. Real Diego too having probably understood what really matters in life just resigned 30 years ago and let others rule the country. He talks about our desires and that humans are here for a limited time and life goes by quickly and we don't understand the meaning of life and waht truly matters, cause if we did we wouldn't have wars, what truly matters the poem says "...life is complete with the sun, the land and....". Did I say how great the writing is???
Except for that we had an amazing scene with Palm and Meruem too. Her internal conflict was so great to witness and her tears was really sad to witness. Pouf lied there dead. Alone. Surprisingly that was sad to watch. The depth of Meruem char and his enlightenment made him realize how loyal RG were "I am not worthy of such loyal guards...." HOLY.... Overall this episode and this whole arc is probably one of the best shit I have watched in anime ad not only in this media.
Things were getting a tad sticky in the swordsman topic, and I didn't want to venture too far into OP-verse there, so:
I figured up the timeline, and Ace was born three years before Luffy. Since Luffy was 7 years old when Shanks met him, that would mean Ace was born ten years before Shanks lost his arm. Given that Ace's mother delayed childbirth greatly to protect Ace, add another year to that for the rough estimate of the year Roger was executed (11 years before Shanks meets Luffy). It could be longer since Roger disbanded his crew some time before turning himself in, but I'll stick to 11 years.
That would place Shanks at 16 years of age when the Roger Pirates disbanded. I don't personally think he knew Conqueror's Haki at this age, but even if he did, he wouldn't have had the time to "mature" it to the insane level he is currently at. Given that, I think Mihawk and Shank's duels were purely sword battles. They rivaled one another in skill at the time, though presumably Mihawk was a bit better since he holds the title of Best Swordsman.
That's why I'm saying there's no real way to know now. Between Shank's absurd Conqueror's Haki and his missing arm, it's hard to say who would win in a swordfight. Barring Conqueror's Haki, it's hands-down Mihawk, but with Conqueror's Haki, I'm not so sure.
Are you the author of that picture in your about me? If it is you, I respect you dude. I am a pretty good artist, but I just can't draw a human or someone human-like. :(
The development is amazing!!! Unpredictable as I have used to be in HxH. Welfin didn't kill Yupi he aint that strong. Yupi died from somethjing else. He started bleeding. Actually all 3 King, Pouf and Yupi started bleeding like from radiation from the bomb you or sth.
Mushishi ep7 was one of the best episodes if not the best!!!
Creamypie proably got bored or frustrated. Who knows!!!???
Tex... Oh shit it's been a long time. Well as I can remember there were a lot of symbolism and you could interpret it in many ways. Like for example the upper land was "paradise" where people lived without technology and the city underground was "hell" where they had technological advancement but emotional and social collapse. It all wanted to show where human greed might take us and that at the end it will be our doom. For me it portrayed our possibility of becoming better if we try (on a social, technological and spiritual levels).
If you disagree with my opinion, you should prove your point of view by saying that this anime has 1) 2) 3). You should also add why these 1) 2) 3) are better than in other anime shows. The only answer which you gave me was I love Aria because of her!. It is not enough to love an anime only because of one character. That doesn't make sense for me.
However, if you just don't want to accidently spoil Aria for me, just say so.
P.S. I don't want to criticize your favorite show. I am just can't criticize it, since I haven't watched it yet. I want to hear a good explanation, why Aria isn't overrated and what makes it unique? Thank you.

It's just that I didn't understand your question too good. Maybe because he was emotionally attached to that place.
I have no idea :C
