You will see enemies though in one piece that are so incredible formidable and fearsome that you wonder how in the hell will oda ever close the gap between luffy and these fearsome monsters. So trust me when I say, the series does not have a sort of repeat situation where luffy defeats every enemy of there respective arc.

Think of one piece as sort of seperated into 3 massive parts. Part 1 is the adventures of the early grandline, its a more personalized story of adventure and discovery well being introduced to many locations in the world and some major foes and villians are revealed and in addition the mystery and lore starts to be subtly forshadowed through the many arcs. part 2 is a much more tightly gripped narative and story where the tension and drama are ramped up. The story also gets a bit outside of the box of just the straw hats, MANY more characters return and become a focus and many new characters are introduced that expand the main cast. The scale of conflict and threat in the series, is elevated quite alot.

Part 3 is the CLIMAX where eveything comes together for an EPIC conclusion. Currently we are almost at the very end of part 2 some where in the 1000's episode on what we presume to be the final arc of this saga.

Then the end of Part 2 tighs deeply into part 3 which is the final saga of the story.

Anyways one piece is not for EVERYONE and I respect that descision if your not a fan of shonen or even more so not a fan of "adventure" shows in general, then you may not appreciate one piece as much. Because at its core it is an adventure series. More so then your typical Battle shonen series like Bleach and Naruto that focuses on a central setting and weaves the story around that setting.
It’s time to ditch the text file.
