I think there's pretty split opinions on it. I honestly didn't feel for the characters and the story itself got a little absurd.

Girl! I've finally managed to reply! I forgot to recommend anime tho. You might've probably heard of yuri on ice? :P I it's like a good love story in a sports anime. And noragami surprised me with how much i liked it, esp the 2nd season.

Hello! :D I saw your email of course, I'll probably reply this weekend.

Yeah, Berserk was pretty dark (I've been meaning to watch it for years) - it started a little slow for me, but the midevil fantasy setting is just right up my ally and at momemts it did seem like the books i love to read :) It gets more interesting and the charaters/relationships more developed in the second part though. I really enjoyed it and I totally recommend it! It is the only anime that makes me wish I was a manga person, because I don't want to let the story go!

As for tokyo ghoul... I guess it is a little dark and gory too. I expected a little more from it. The general idea behind it is cool I think and it's nice that they keep introducing new characters (though I couldn't care less for a lot of them - a lot of them are pretty cliche; some are quite interesting though!) but other than that I find it unexeptional. I'm gonna watch 2nd season though for broken kaneki (I actually dreamed of the main char prior to watching 1st season! Stupid brain, I'd rather dream of other anime!)
