Yes, indeed. This is my miljon times watching One Piece after I have dropped a lot of times in the past and I did end up loving the serie so much more this time around.

It have been a great 5-6 weeks watching One Piece, been damn fun.

I save the '69' for the bedroom, and the '4' for the golf course...sometimes I use the '4' in the bedroom when my ball goes off course.

The difference is, Gankutsuou is engaging and compelling from the get-go, which gives the viewer reason to be invested as the mystery builds and then unfolds. So many of my favorite stories are slow burns, but you have to earn the viewer's faith instead of endlessly stalling with the narrative equivalent of IOUs.

People shouldn't self-censor out of fear of what others might do, especially in as low-stakes a world as anime viewership. Take Made In Abyss - there's no shortage of 10/10 reviews, either, and saying "I found it so sluggish that I couldn't finish it" is just as valid as a review stating "I loved it so much I watched it three times." Negative and positive reviews can coexist, and in fact the discussion is typically better when you have a multitude of opinions and viewpoints in the mix. Let people can come to their own conclusions - if seeing one negative review is all it takes to dissuade a person, then it's on that person, not the review. Besides, a review isn't necessarily the final word - there's always room to come back, reassess, and reevaluate.

Why should I? A review isn't meant to be an objective measurement, but an expression of the reviewer's experience with the show. If a show is so grating, poorly strung together, or otherwise uninvolving enough to make a person quit, why shouldn't that be noted? As long as you make clear that you stopped at a certain point, the review is not misleading or deceitful, and such a review can even be instructive, as it can help people who liked the show understand a very different perspective. Or are you afraid that my perspective somehow takes away from your enjoyment of the shows?
It’s time to ditch the text file.
