Oh same. Rarely do I put a show down, even if it's horrible. Shame that the plot line you mainly stuck around for didn't even become relevant again until the sequel bait of a finale.
That's definitely a problem with people (finally, someone who knows what fallacies are) here though I'm sure you'll meet some good ones here and there. Good luck in the future.
That was a pretty good first review and man, I feel for you for sitting through all of Mahouka.
I definitely empathize with the whole magic situation. It's as if you were being lectured on a college course on it midway through the course, with only a fraction of the fraction of the rudimentary notes to even remotely understand any of it. It doesn't help that they force so many different types of combat systems down your throat early on that its already hard to keep track.
Tatsuya really is as OP as they come, to a level where it's nothing more than the slog to end all slogs from an action and moral perspective given how he is framed, and what they try to do with him in episode 8 and the final two episodes, was simply asinine and just a pathetic excuse to keep him as perfect and boring as possible. Miyuki really is insufferable though, which is a real shame given her looks and the fact that Tatsuya's only real connection to emotions is her. The villains were effectively the exact same character, with noting in terms of motivation other than "I'm a generic Light Novel villain".
I hope to see you around more on the reviewing scene with quality content like this.
