Baccano! for the Win!
Ditto on the preference for casts that are male heavy (sans reverse-harem though because it sucks).
The character development is wonderful; I recommend reading it over watching it so you can get a full taste of how it progresses. Sure, I'll check it out and get back to you once I'm finished with it.
Zipang is pretty great, a lot of the drama is from the crew deciding whether to back their home country and help them win the war or letting history take its course. it's pretty military focused, though, so not sure if you'd like it
sucks about your cousin. hey, maybe we'll finally have teleporters in our lifetime lmao
I related to it too well, too. I pretty much lived like her from 13-15 lmao, 16 is when I finally got my crap together. you should give romance a try some time, there's some nice feel-good ones out there that cheer you up a lot. the group of anime fans I used to talk to a lot were mostly girls so they kinda turned me onto it, lmao. I recommend Kimi ni Todoke, it's really good. cool cousin btw
as for good shows the past season.. Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu, Dimension W and Dagashi Kashi is alright too
thanks for letting me know about JoJo, I'll start the manga where the anime leaves off
yeah, a lot of romance mangas are pretty frustrating in that way, but I try to look for unique ones to keep me interested.
My Fault I'm Not Popular was Secondhand Embarrassment: The Anime, lmao but a lot of people relate to it
thanks, I'll check out the manga. i'm not really a big manga person, I used to just read romance mangas, but I'll give it a try
SNK with trains actually sounds like a pretty funny trainwreck to watch, I'll check it out lmao
Magi has a pretty fun story, so I might check out the spinoff
Re:Zero actually looks like it'll be really fun, but it could go any way
yeah, my brother actually got me into Jojo, it took me a while to get into it, but once I did, loved it. and yes, DP handles Jojo awesomely, I hope they get other awesome shows whenever they finish Jojo
Joker Game looks really cool to me because I'm a fan of espionage, and I've never seen it done from a Japanese perspective right before WW2, so that'll be new to me. no idea what to expect from Mayoiga, but it has an interesting summary so I figure why not.
Bungou Stray Dogs actually looks amazing now that I look at it, made by Bones too, thanks for bringing it up. Kiznaiver seems interesting too
I haven't really kept up with the spring season since I'm getting caught up with old stuff, but at a glance, Joker Game, the new Jojo's Bizarre Adventures, and Mayoiga look good
anything you're looking forward to?
yeah, Shaft's consistently good, their shows are always fun and interesting to look at and handle dialogue and mysteries really well, so I think they were a good choice for this story.
the story's basically where you're locked in a dimension with other masters and servants where you're all living in a school competing for the Grail, with a door to an arena maze where you fight another servant and master each week. it goes in a tournament format, and before the fight, you're given time to learn the opponents weakness and investigate how to beat them, it's really fun
I'm really looking forward to this show, and Shaft's one of my favorite studios
yeah, it's not a typically popcorn series, I'm a little surprised, but then again I'm not, more cerebral shows like this attract decent followings and Type Moon already had a solid fanbase by then
