Btw it's actually not a problem that you declare them later. It just makes it harder for humans to read / debug.
Btw #2 php does the same thing. It just declares them automatically while converting to bytecode. The thing I really like about php is that you don't need the variable types. In C you have to think ahead what you're gonna use them for.
